You guys better try staples at your places, I just picked up an NEC 17 Multi 75 for $199. And I saw a compaq 19 inch for 299.

They got it marked down and on clearances. May be a hot deal

Oh the staples at my city had one Sony 21inch flat screen (with the famaliar two fine lines across the screen) for $499. The manager has said it will be going down a few notches. The monitor looks awesome though those lines...I'd rather not buy it for that price.

that is a good price for a 21". At work and home I have monitors that uses the FD Trinitron tubes. After a while you don't even notice the lines and only did you mention that did I notice them.

you can get the compaq monitor from "you bid dot come" for a little over $300.. but the shipping is steep though.. $80 or so..
