21-29 was like lightning. How is 29-39?

As the last people give the obligatory "Happy bday bro!" on my Facebook, and I realize that 29 is basically 30.....and a single tear falls into a once-full glass of cabernet.....I have to wonder....

Anyone 39+ here? How was the leap from 29-39? Should I just give up on physical activity and personal appearance already? Start looking at AARP?

I am already showing the signs...I don't like any new mainstream music. I still say words like "sick" and "bad" to mean "good."

And there was a someone walking their dog on my lawn in front of my house, and I caught myself mentally wishing them to get off of it, because it is mine. :/

Input?

You're doomed like all living creatures of Earth.

You are dying the moment you are conceived.

I'll simplify this for you, I was just 29 the other day and next month I turn 50. The older you get the faster it goes.

That's because old people move slower. I could graph time dilation versus decrepitness if you want...

I'd bet I'm in better shape at 50 than most of the people here half my age. I move fast every day all day long and that doesn't stop when I get home until I sit down for dinner around 8.

It was a joke.

...sort of. I think it does become more true with 'real' old age.

The trick is to not have a long standing routine, do new things and meet new people as much as possible.

False. A long standing routine leads to boredom for many people, and boredom leads to staring at clocks, and staring at clocks results in your eyebeams hitting the arms and slowing their rotation. If you want your 20's to feel like they'll never end, spend all your time on internet forums.

And when your mid life crisis comes and you realize you have sat on your ass through the prime of your life try not to take it too badly.

It never stops going faster. I ding 39 this year :\

Very true.

I remember when I was younger thinking that 5 years was a LONG time. Now? 5 years is practically like yesterday and 10 years seems like last month.

I had kids thru my 20s so it went THAT much faster than most.

I think Einstein came up with this theory. 1 year for a 10 year old is 1/10th of his life. 1 year of a 30 year old is 1/3rd of their life.

Yeah, expect the life to go by that much faster.
