21-22 in LCD opinions needed

Looking to get a 21-22 in lcd. It will be used mostly for gaming. Wife told me today to pick one up and it will be my Xmas presant. She had her eye on a 19 in somewhere for >150. I told her if were gonna get one, we're gonna go a little bigger. Trying to keep price less than $300.00 . Have my eye on the Acer 22 in at microcenter this week for 299.99. Any opinions or thoughts are greatly welcomed. If it helps I am running a C2D 6400 with 2 gigs of ram at stock speed and a PNY 7900gs vid card.

If the Acer is the 2216w, it's a great monitor.

I use mine in a dual setup with PC/Xbox 360 and it is splendid.

If you're in Canada and can wait 2 days, the Dell e228wfp (?) 22" is only $300 on boxing day at dell.ca. Pretty sure it's a 6-bit panel, otherwise, features seem good. I'd jump on it, but I'm worried about how well (piss poor) my machine will run things at 1680x1050.

Otherwise, I've heard great things about Samsung, pretty much any panel. Obviously, they go for a bit more though.

I have the Acer AL2216W bd and it's really nice. I've been very pleased with it.

Just noticed there is a new Acer, its the Acer AL2223Wd anyone have any experiance with it. Havent found any reviews on it anywhere..

Basically the same as the 2216, but HDCP compatible. The 2216 is being replaced by the 2223.
