20oz bottle of soda, how much where you are?

Its still 75 cents for a 20 oz bottle at the Costco vending machines. Most other places are $1.50 or $1.75 around here (chicago suburbs)

For a 20oz bottle, $1.35 from the machine at work. It was $1.25 up until a few weeks ago.

I never buy from the machine though. I go to Sam's Club and pick up 36-packs for about $12, and that lasts me about a week.

yaa... flat soda FTW!!

Evidently you don't know how to squeeze a 2-liter before putting the cap back on it to minimize the amount of free space inside. I don't drink much soda nowadays, but when I was younger, I could easily make a 2-liter of soda last for 4-5 days without it getting flat.

$1.25 in the machines at work.
Typically $1.50 at a store... sometimes 2/$2.22

I was at a conference recently and in the conference center 20oz bottles of water/pop were going for $3.00... I did not purchase one.

$1.50 at most vending machines, $1.50+tax at most stores, $1.30 in the cafeteria at work after employee discount.

$1.10 in the work machine for all brands, $1.25-$1.75 in the stores around the area with occasional deals for $.99

36 cans for 7 days? Yike, that would be about 5 cans per day? And I thought I did drink a lot of soda.

Between 1.25 and 2.00 depending on where.

7-11 charges very strange prices. Once in a while they have good sales but normally are expensive as shit!

Yep. Diet Pepsi is my poison. I bring three to work with me every day (one for when I get to my desk, and then two more with lunch), and then usually one or two throughout the rest of the night with dinner or whatever. I get thirsty real easily, and I simply love the taste of Diet Pepsi. I don't mind water, I just like flavored fizzy drinks.

It's about $1.39 - $1.70 when sold singly in stores in East Texas. I stopped buying soft drinks once it crossed the $1.30 mark. Now I'm afraid to look.

Usually it's a 99¢ Arizona drink for me these days.

$1.60 per, $2.50/2 at several gas stations around here. I believe it was $2.00 on campus when I went.

vending machine at work: $1.25
I've worked hard to wean myself from that machine. I prefer instead to just purchase a case of cans when they're on sale for $5 or $6. The case generally lasts a month or longer.

Most other places around here are $1.50 per bottle. It's even more in convenience stores.

$1.75 in the vending machines at the schools here. $1.75 in the cafeteria where it is not in a vending machine.

Price gouging for the fail.

$1.25 = 20oz bottle from vending machine at work. Don't buy singles in gas stations or convenience stores.

The 20 oz bottles seem to go for just under $1.50 at the store here. I don't buy them anymore. I used to but I always said if the price ever went over a buck I would do so no more, and I stopped.

I'm 48. When I was 16 you could pull into a Stop N Go and get a 32 oz (quart) bottle of soda and a package of 6 mini donuts for $1. See what the government has done to our buying power in a mere 30 years? It should scare the shit out of you but most people will simply plod along in willful ignorance.

in tn, 1-1.25 for a machine. 1.29 or so at a gas station. sizes are fucked now, though. 16's are like a buck, 24's are usually about 1.50.
