I played with building a Maverick this morning. That $28K goes up fast. One can get close to $40K at the hybrid XLT trim level without even trying to spend just to spend.
It is crazy to me how much the cost of the Maverick has increased since I special ordered mine back in June of 2021. It wasn't a crazy build either. Ecoboost XLT, w/AWD, 4K tow, and the lux package was around $28K. Now that same vehicle is closer to $38K and certain packages like the Lux have been decontented by Ford.

I guess that is what happens when you are the only game in town making a small truck.

On a tangent, they have a $250/mo lease deal on a Mach-E Select at a nearby dealership...kinda tempting...

Love mine!

On the topic of the maverick, line must go up. low selling and less profitable trims are going to get cut and consolidated into what moves the most volume
