Hey all,

I have MSI 2080ti and noticed that after installing geforce drivers, I have video playback issues, for example in hulu app or web there is black screen with sound only, no video. Also in YouTube, videos are playing corrupted like this:

If I disable hardware acceleration decode in Chrome YouTube videos play fine.

Videos in VLC, Netflix and Hulu app only have sound and no video, just black screen, even animated gifs are being played as black screen.

Even in Windows video settings I see same issue:
I haven't noticed any issues in playing games.Tried DDU in safe mode and reinstalled drivers but didn't help.

Here is spec list: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/fjlymR2a8RZHShDBgwC78u5

I tested my PC with a nvidia Quadro NVS 510 card and everything worked fine, is it a software issue or might be the card itself having some problems?

Thanks

Try a different driver version. Plug the DP cable into a different port on the card. Still corrupted? Probably bad hardware, probably. You have an i9 so no big deal letting it handle things if necessary, but if the decoder on the card is bad, I would not trust that something else will not follow.

I tried them but no luck, tried with a different card (Quadro NVS 510) and didnt have any issues. My CPU is KF so no integrated gpu :(

I would start a support ticket on the card, and start the process of the RMA.
