So both my cards are running full base clock at idle.....I've heard this was an issue for some in the past with 144hz screens. Is that still the case? I've set to optimize for power, adaptive, and maximize 3d performance and all 3 settings don't change the issue.

have done clean driver install of latest 416.xx

thoughts?

I'm sure Jensen will happily help you out after he's done spending your money on cocaine... :p

Jp. Only thing I can think of is maybe try without SLI and see if that brings the clocks down at idle. Drivers might still be need some ironing out. What was the issue with 144hz? I'm guessing the clocks were run up in order to maintain that refresh rate? If so, I don't see any reason to believe it would have been fixed via drivers.

If you think it's possibly a 144Hz thing you could just set your monitor to a lower refresh rate to see if it fixes the issue.
