So I was about to buy a GTX Super for 206€ and realized that there GTX 2060 cost 280€.
So basic question: is it worth it the over 30% increased cost of the GTX?
Note1: no, I won't use GTX very likely

Note2: I use it for content creation: video edition and live streaming while gaming on Twitch

Thanks in advance!! ❤

So just to clarify it's a 1660 Super vs. a 2060 (non-Super)?

Is there a particular resolution you want to stream at?

Also how often do you upgrade?

Getting GTX 1660 Super is recommended rather than getting RTX 2060 because there is performance improvement of less than 30 % in the latter. And to justify a purchase generally more than 50 % increment in performance is expected for the price difference you are paying for. Also, The price/performance ratio is much better for GTX 1660 SUPER .

RX 5700 is about 8% faster than the RTX 2060, and it costs the same or less. So go for a RX 5700.
Unless you o/c in which the difference is minimal. Then there's the chances a lot of games will start to support DLSS 2 which effectively makes the 2060 a lot faster with ray tracing off. Then there's the lack of ray tracing hardware in the 5700, which might not be amazing on the 2060 but with DLSS 2 will probably still allow you to turn on most of the effects at 1080. If you want AMD sure it's a decent card, but it's missing some key features.

I'd get the 1660 Super then. The regular 2060 isn't enough of an upgrade in any way to matter and if you upgrade that frequently you're unlikely to hit a wall with the 1660 Super in that timeframe.

Take the money you save and set it aside for the next upgrade.

It seems getting the 1660 Super would be the best choice...I could get a better cooler/fans with those extra 70€

If you’re already set on spending the extra money then reach for the RTX 2060. It supports all of the DX12 Ultimate features, DLSS 2.0, RTX Voice, and more. DLSS alone is enough to consider it over a GTX card, especially if you’re going to keep the card for around 18 months.

To put this into perspective. Let’s say that 1660 Super is able to play a game at 35 FPS at max settings. The 2060 will play the same game at around 45-ish FPS. If the game supports DLSS 2.0, you can now experience the game at around 60 FPS with very little loss to visual fidelity.

Go for the GTX1660 Super,

If you considering the RTX2060 then get this RX5700XT 8GB , same price as the Zotac RTX2060 6GB you posted above but it has 8GB ram and it is 15-20% faster

The cheapest 5700XT is around 350€, compared to the 280 from the 2060

The ZOTAC you posted is at 310 Euro and the KFA2 at 290 Euro.
Between the ZOTAC RTX2060 6GB at 310 Euro and RX5700XT 8GB at 350 Euro, I would go for the 5700XT everytime

Yap...Zotac offer ended., but KFA2 still up. Not sure about those extra 60€ (minimum) to get a 5700

Personally I would go for the GTX1660 Super for now and upgrade next year to either RDNA2 or Amber

I agree. We are in the twilight of the Turing and RDNA1 (already!) architectures at this time. Get the FPS you want now, and all of the features mentioned above will there but likely very evolved in the next 12-18 months when your buying cycle is up again.

What are you replacing? Maybe I missed that, but you could offset your new card purchase quite a bit if it is a GTX 970 or better. If that shortens your next buying cycle to ~12 months all the better, as that should be an even more exciting time to be on the hunt for ~$350 cards.

If you are on budget then surely go for RTX 2060. My recommend to you is just save money and go for better Graphic Card. Because RTX 2060 is the latest addition to Nvidia’s RTX series of graphics card which are based on their Turing architecture. And due to its turing features and real time ray tracing technology, which helps to deliver a more realistic gaming experience.

Or you switch on Raytracing in conjunction DLSS 2.0 and you might still be faster than the 1660 Super. In summary i would also go for the 2060.
