Well Dems are still losing voters, still losing young voters and young men especially. Still no message other than "not Trump." No new leadership, etc. No real plans on how to win voters back.

They are winning special elections obviously, but not sure how that will translate to a national level.

Dems aren't going to save you.

Voters aren't going to save you either.. remember your votes don't matter.. and neither do your lives.. according to these people.

You're going to have to find another way.

The first step is actually picking who will fight for you and not surrender like Schumer and Jeffries.

i’m saying the dems need to become the 3rd party :)

The Democrats would need a radical reinvention, and there is no sign of that happening.

The big long term problem in American politics is unlimited election money from corporations and billionaires. After accepting these bribes, lawmakers from both parties only write laws that favor corporations and billionaires, so regardless of which side is on office, life for the average citizen gets shafted in favor of what corporations and billionaires want, so people only feel themselves losing either way.

In this environment of political hopelessness, the biggest liars win, and MAGA has the biggest liars by FAR.

I don't think it can really change until the dictatorship oversteps enough, to have both right and left leaning Americans in the streets together and the Military refusing the stop them... That is probably a long way off.

What should happen after the revolution, is sweeping updates to the constitution to make it more resilient against future dictators, AND to get corporate and billionaire money out of elections. This is something most western democracies already have done.

IMO, the USA won't fix itself until after that happens.

What should happen is the codifying of limits on corporations, be it political donations, political influence, their size, pay discrepancy between the top and bottom, stock buy backs, and their right to exist as long as it’s good for the public.

With how hard Trump has been sucking Putin and Bibi off, and now endangering everyone again via brainworm man, honestly I'm less worried about non magats showing up than I am maga efforts to suppress the vote.

Let's remember it's repugs who purge voter rolls right before elections, they are the ones who shut down voting locations in areas they can't win. They hate drop boxes, want them gone as a rule and oh look, now Trump says Putin told him voting by mail is no good, so he wants it gone (lol yeah you do that, cyka).

With Trump giving everyone from insurrectionists to drug dealers to fellow pedos pardons, it's possible the coming two elections might feature real voter intimidation problems.

I live in a free state that isn't controlled by the GQP, but I worry some of you in Southern and Western red states might see some shit. Hope I'm wrong and it's just me being a worry wort.

Not in a good way either. It shows there is again (just as before) too much optimism from team sanity.

With the absolute lunacy on display from GOP nutbags running the country, you still have polls showing a tie in New Jersey, that doesn't bode well at all.

This is before the voter suppression tactics, like purging the voter lists, voter intimidation of having armed troops around the democratic leaning polls, insane levels of gerrymandering, etc, that will be going on during midterms.

That's an outlier. Quinnipiac had Sherill +8 last week.

edit: and the aggregators all look like they're in the Sherill +6/+7 range.
