Like have the van's "primary" use is to produce electricity and it's "secondary" use is to drive the van?

I suspect this would make the van slower to the point you can't drive on the highway, but if it moves fast enough to drive on a regular street I'd be satisfied.

The reason im asking is because I wanted a large amount of portable electricity that the alternator can't provide.
