All 3 are out. I'd like to see Indiana win - especially after trouncing Alabama.
what's crazy is that Indiana was D1's all-time worst program before Curt Cignetti worked his NIL magic just a few years ago. I don't follow CFB much, but this shouldn't really be possible...

Not sure which is a better fairy tale at this point: Indiana completing the dream run or Ole Miss making Lame Kiffin look like a buffoon.

And hats off to kicker Lucas Carneiro last night for a god-level performance.

I used to work in sports radio just outside Bloomington. Basketball was obviously huge, and football was mostly an afterthought, but Antwaan Randle El gave it a little boost. Crazy to see them this good.

What was the line on the Ole Miss game or over/under? I'm having a hard time understanding why you'd take a safety at the end like that.

+6.5 maybe? I don't know I took the moneyline so I'm happy. I'm usually not a gambling man but with all the offers everyone has been throwing around lately I figured I'd dabble.

Just cheked:
  • Spread: Georgia -6.5
  • Moneyline: Georgia -230 to -250; Ole Miss +194 to +200
  • Over/Under (Total): Around 54.5 - 56 points

They didn't take the safety on purpose. They were returning the kickoff, and trying to lateral the ball.
I'm not sure what the odds are of success, because it's incredibly rare. You have The Cal/Stanford band "Play" from over 40 years ago. The Tennessee Titans had the Music City Miracle to win the 1999 AFC championship.
Considering all the football games played across the decades, it's probably 1000 to 1 long shot, if not worse.

Interestingly enough, they had a second crack at laterals because they took possession off of the free kick. (Kirby Smart or someone on his staff really knew the rule book well.)

For anyone who might not have been able to watch it here is a video of the last two minutes of the Georgia/Ole Miss game. Watch it and tell me the fix wasn't in for Georgia. Total 🤡 show.

I thought that final flag was going to be against Ole Miss. I was thinking what now?

Crazy ending for Ole Miss/Miami. Not a huge fan of them never calling PI on the final plays like that, but still.

I caught the 2nd half of the game, and IMO it shouldn't have been that close. Miami DBs dropped like 4 gifted INTs, a few in the redzone area IIRC. That should be a focus point in practice for them before the championship. But yea, not a huge fan of either team. Just happy Bama and Ohio aren't playing lol

Where was the voracious Miami defense this week? Pulled that one out by a half point on the terrible non call.

Not even a few years ago. This is literally his second season as Indiana's coach. Indiana went 3-9 (1-8 Big 10) in the 2023 season, then Cignetti showed up and they went 11-2 (8-1 Big 10) in 2024. They're now 14-0 and on track to be the first FBS team to ever go 16-0 (thanks to the expanded playoffs) if they win the championship.

Cignetti is 25-2 so far with Indiana, which had never had a 10 win season in the school's history (which goes back to 1885).

I "rounded up" an extra year. :p I realize NIL has upended college sports, but I still don't understand what's happening at Indiana.
It really shouldn't be possible the total turnaround Cignetti has executed so quickly; and I'll root for Oregon or IU to win the natty.

I don't follow CFB closely and didn't really know about this abrupt turnaround. Pretty incredible for a coach I'd never even heard of until this year.

Oh yeah, I wasn't trying to call you out on that. I was just adding more info to show how ridiculous the turnaround is.

Turning the ball over is the quickest way to lose a football game, Oregon.
