What an ordeal with hulu. I had a 2nd account that was slightly over one month expired but it wasn't eligible. I had to create a new account and then tried paypal to pay and it said I wasn't eligible. I then used a VPN and paid with my credit card and I was able to get the .99 a month deal. Not sure if it was the vpn or the use of a credit card instead of paypal. My old sub did use paypal FWIW.

It's worth $20, but definitely not worth full price to me. Hulu/Disney+ is worth the $3, but def not worth the $11 per month.
Indeed.

We have Hulu through my wife's Spotify plan. She has this Spotify/Hulu combination plan that she started in college, and still gives us Hulu access. I definitely wouldn't pay for Hulu, especially with how bad their website is.

Existing Hulu w/ Ads Subscription: Add-On Offer: Starz 1-Year Subscription $1/Month (Add-On Only)

Note: Must login to your account and claim this offer. Valid as an 'Add-On' to existing or new Hulu w/ Ads plan only.

I was able to add the add-on with the new hulu plan I started yesterday.

My sister is going through the same BS today, AFTER seeing it display $2.99/month for the Duo Basic bundle.
The online chat agent told her that the problem is PayPal, because their terms of the offer exclude "third party" billing. I just glanced at the deal landing page and none of the terms mentions that at all.

Hulu is just being a PITA when most services are making it easy to spend money this week.

Hulu promo is live now for 99c/month (D+ option is $2 extra), BUT your account must have been lapsed for at least one month.

Heh, I just signed up for the $2.99 for 6 months. I guess I'll sign up my wife for the $.99/mon deal then cancel the 6 month deal.

Use a new email; credit card shouldn't matter but I'd use a different one as well. I would NOT use PayPal for this promo, or for any other online subscription.
D+ is $2 extra, if you want that library too.

There is a separate STARZ add-on for $1 more per month.

You can remove the STARZ add-on at any time.

@Lanyap @manly

To your knowledge; do Starz, Hulu or D+ offer a retention discount if you initiate the cancel process?

IIRC Hulu will offer a small discount for a few months. I don't remember the details I normally get the Hulu lack Friday deal that's 12 months for $.99 and let it run out then sign back up for the next BF deal. This past BF I got Hulu with the Starz add-on for $1.98/m. I get D+ Basic as a free add-on with my Spectrum cable package.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to next BF for digital offers whether it's streaming, online backup, VPN, etc.

What backup or VPN deals have you gotten for BF?

I noticed Roku has a Hulu/D+ promo right now, $3/mo for 4 months. Not bad if you're in their ecosystem and want something short term.

Backblaze, nordvpn, protonvpn, expressvpn, etc. I usually check deal sites and reddit for offers from a week before BF through CyberMonday.

I used to be part of the Roku ecosystem until I switched to Google Chromecast and recently Onn 4K.
