Their current production for the base model is sitting at 26k for the last two years. I'm sure actual demand is twice that. But just given that number and a small assumption they can get it up to 30k for '23, then they could easily produce 8-10k Z06 trim models. Assuming there aren't constraints on Z06 specific parts.

Which there are.

I looked up their estimate on the '23 Z06 and GM is estimating roughly 2.5k to be produced. Which is still quite a bit more than a number of performance vehicles were able to get out the door for '22 and possibly '23 as well. Best year Z06 sales over the last couple gens was around 12k. If we go big and double that then there are going to be around 22k people wanting one who can't get one.

On a side note, if the articles I'm reading are correct then GM only anticipated building this limited number to begin with which doesn't make it a constraint. It's an intended low production run.

The C7 was nothing like the C8. The new Vette is a huge improvement in every way. The ZO6 does a 10.5 quarter mile with the extra HP.

I understand the specs on the car but we don't know how many people have tried to order one. That's why I took the best year and doubled it. Don't brush over the fact that GM has increased the starting price of the Z06 by over $25,000 from the C7 Z06. You're going to remove a lot of potential buyers now that a very lightly optioned car costs north of $110k.

Agreed on the pricing. The ZO6 is now priced at ZR1 levels. I guess GM is officially saying the ZO6 will do a 10.6 1/4 mile. I have to wait until the bible (Car & Driver) publishes their numbers. I personally think the C6 was a better Corvette than the C7. The C6 was just a great looking Corvette. The C8's have hit it out of the park. My only suggestion would be to soften the lines on the C8.

At least with the current version of the Corvette. The ZR1 will not have problems putting the power down with the mid engine design. But I think they will be using a couple of superchargers on the ZR1. The ZO6 is a naturally aspirated (670hp) monster engine. The redline on the Z06 is 8500rpm.
