I'm really confused how after a few tests, the most I could reach in 3Dmark 2001 SE was 2020. That too, was after changing the resolution to 800x600x32, earlier I was hitting 1500 max at the default settings
Heres my computer:
P4 1.7ghz@1.7ghz
578MB PC-133 RAM
20 Gig Maxtor 7200 rpm
60 Gig Western Digital Caviar 5400 rpm
ATI Radeon 7000 64MB SDRAM (Yes, I know the video card is old)
I disabled the firewall and antivirus during these tests as well. Do you really think the video card is holding me back at 2000 that badly? I'm currently looking at buying the 8500 AIW (either 64mb DV or 128mb). Anyone have an estimate as to how much that will help? I've seen plenty of 20,000 scores at www.futuremark.com so I guessed even compared with their highly overclocked systems, mine should be able to get like 4 or 5 thousand.
