Wow. I turned all of my clients loose this morning and made sure they were uploading before work today. Come to find just now that the Cosmo server sent several of them on vacation by halting uploads and scheduling the next contact for 12-19 hours. So they've just been sitting there all day.

Did you have HTTP timeouts? That's the only reason I can think of that would cause (the client) to defer uploads.

Possibly? But the Internet connection at both sites has been good. I'm not exactly sure which machines had the problem at this point or I would take a look at the logs.

It's alive!

Uploads are good, progress bar goes to 100% quickly, but getting acknowledgment back from the server seems to be the current issue.

The server has been down (timing out) since Sunday, shortly before 14:00 UTC.

*If* the server is revived before the sprint ends, it still means that many of us can't upload a considerable part of the results computed since last contact with the server, because there simply isn't enough time anymore to upload the large files.

I have a record of how many tasks were in "uploading" and "uploaded" state at a point not long before the server came back (10,000 and 500), but uncharacteristically, no record of how many of these were still reported in that last hour.

Quite a "what if" finish, looking at the final scores. :-)

And typical Formula Boinc sprinting as we know it. :-|

________
Edit, those 10,500 results were new ones, completed during the second outage and shortly before.

If the server stayed up for another hour, we may have slipped into second place. 🙂 It seems your bunker release was timed perfectly. 🙂

Ugh, it seems I was a little too late when installing VPN.

Austin F1 race was quite exciting after Bottas' second pitstop, if only Magnussen didn't have brake failure, we would have interesting final lap battle between Hamilton and Verstappen.

I, like I think Stefan originally indicated, was going to skip this Sprint, but since I have some 10 series Nvidia GPUs, those are participating.
