I think I'll wait an hour or so after the race starts to release the hounds. After 5 days of bunkering, I don't want to be early. 🙂

I got distracted by calls and missed the opening hours. Do not EVER put your phone number in at lending tree dot com. I literally got a call 15 seconds after I clicked 'next.' (and then many more, ugh)

Universe I was......when I had some "ready to report" I hit update and those sent, then it seemed to move quicker to the "ready to report" and I rinsed and repeated until they were all sent in.

As I recall, one reason I didn't like NumberFields is that some of their WUs finish within a minute, while the rest take forever. Fortunately that doesn't seem to happen with their new project.

Yup. Their WU filter misses a bunch.
At least on a POINTS! level they are pretty good for a CPU project.
 
In the teams who registered this year, compared to last year, I am noticing one advantage for us (GridCoin are out; they didn't agree with the organizers who basically asked them not to pay out GRC for Pentathlon participation), but two disadvantages:
  • Instead of 2 Italian teams, there is only one. Though I haven't tried to look up whether the other Italians joined them now.
  • Instead of one China team, there are two China teams now. Ignoring the Beijing team of last year, who didn't do much.
A curiosity is team "LTT Forums", which seems to be a registration of LinusTechTips_Team gone wrong. Their points are fetched from the project servers' LinusTechTips_Team stats though.

I understand their arguments regarding Gridcoin.

However, the Boinc Petathlon home page has this line: "SETI.Germany warmly invites all BOINC teams to participate."

Perhaps it should be by invitation only.
