only finished with 42 though

and the L

42 with a triple double... He's living proof that a single player can't win a game. Smith went 0 for 13 or whatever. Yet Bron was at the press conference after encouraging him to keep shooting. I don't understand how Smith can play like an all star one game and the next play like a scrub who shouldn't be allowed off the bench.

Nonsense, they got spanked tonight, now I don't know if Houston can do it 3 more times. But Curry has a history of either choking or playing just average in playoffs/finals. He shot 38% and was 1-8 on 3pts. Klay played even worse, I don't suspect either will play this badly next game. But if Houston plays like they did tonight, even if Klay & Steph play like all stars it would still be a toss up for who wins.

After what I saw tonight I'm wondering if the finals will be Celtics Vs Rockets. That would be a big shocker..

Yeah it was really important for GSW to win game 1. The Rockets came out flat-footed and their role players were awful. Game two was all about the Rocket's supporting cast which unless you include Dray and Klay is far better than the Warriors'.

I'm not sure if we will get a game in this series that is close late in the 4th quarter, since I currently expect each team to have at least one more blowout win.

I'm a Houstonian, and after game 1's terrible display even I figured they were finished. But last night was exciting, they were a totally different team. I'm starting to let myself hope that we have a chance of winning this thing.

You guys have always had a punchers chance against the Warriors. Houston shoots well enough to beat any team on a hot night. The Warriors are the only team that will beat you guys if both teams have an average game though so that's why they are the favorites. Houston could easily get hot and rip off 3 wins in the next 5 games.

great defense with houston last night but was warrior just over confident?

Not overconfidence. They just aren't as good as they should be. I've watched almost every game of theirs this year and they just aren't as good as previous years. They don't quite have the same fire and Curry just isn't the same player he was in past years. They are still an awesome team and when they get going no one can match them, but the majority of their games this year have been fairly lackluster.

This is a shooting series though. If Houston can shoot above average in 4 games they will win it. Anything else and the Warriors take it.

I think warriors will take this series after tonights performance and championship possibly. I don't dispute your observation as I only watch the championship. Judging from last years finals I still see them as strong team. Thanks for sharing that info and it must be disappointing to warriors fan. The only reason I like the warriors is because of curry. He has a good shooting form like reggie miller.

hasn't exactly been exciting basketball so far in these CF's

6 games in, 6 blowouts

Do you think it's because of the amount of 3's teams take now? Or is there some other reason we can't get a close basketball game more than 1/7 or 1/8 anymore?

That's a good question, I think that's a big part of it. One team gets hot, within 3 possessions its a double digit lead (because of the 3p), and it just snowballs into a blowout.

Listen I like watching great shooters shoot the lights out from long range. But I've literally sat and watched 5-6 minute stretches of these games where both teams do NOTHING but shoot 3s. Often contested, and in iso. Its fucking boring, to be honest.

when i used to follow teams a lot of the playoffs has to do with generating revenue and betting. I am sure its till going on today. Its best to just watch the score and decide who will take the series.

Cavs tied the series at 2. The way they were shooting in the first half I thought they'd win by 30. But turnovers and average shooting kept it close in the second half.

these 4th quarter Warriors have been nothing short of awful.
Can't throw it in the ocean, and turnovers galore.
Those 2 TOs by Draymond late in the 4th? What the hell? The pass into the backcourt, straight to Harden for a dunk.
And that derp move at the end, just wow. dropping the pass, booting it with his knee... total breakdown.

edit: backcourt pass for Harden dunk was like 6:00 left, but it was still a joke of a turnover.

Watching Curry go on a hot streak is a thing of beauty.
I can't stand watching Curry's cocky attitude after he makes good plays as he chews on his mouth piece. He's got an extremely punchable face.

I've barely paid attention to any of the NBA playoffs since the Caps are playing late May hockey and will now be playing for the Stanley Cup next week.

I did catch the Rockets/Warriors game last night. I just assumed the finals was going to be Warriors/Cavs before the season started and had seen box scores so far in the conference finals, but damn I did not expect the Rockets to win 2 in a row.

There is no way the NBA is going to allow a Boston/Houston finals. Not a chance in hell. I expect to see some very one sided officiating over the next 4 games to favor Cavs and Warriors.

Bron goes 46/11/9, Smith plays 38 minutes and had 5pts on 28% shooting and 3 rebounds. WHY does Lue leave him in? Bron outscored all the other starters by 20, that's pretty nuts.

Game 7 should be interesting, would be depressing if Bron plays like he did tonight and the rest of his team doesn't show up like every previous game in Boston and they lose. I have no doubt he will play lights out, who knows about his teammates though lol. Boston's almost always money at home too. Hope it's a good game
