around 6.5% unemployment
smaller budget deficit
fundamentally the same tax rates, maybe a bit lower, but with less deductions to boot.

I don't really know, to be honest. It's hard to know what Mitt Romney actually believes in (although I do think his disdain for the lower/middle class is pretty genuine based on his 'real' moments).

Other than a continuation of the widening of the income gap, I wouldn't make any predictions.

I don't think he has disdain for the lower and middle classes at all. He has disdain, and rightfully so, for people who chose not to improve themselves and choose NOT to work. They would rather suck off the govt teat.

A Republican victory in November would be a game changer. It could bring about the dismissal of Bernanke, the taming of fiscal deficits, the painless elimination of excess liquidity from bloated central bank balance sheets and the restoration of robust economic growth. And a unemployment rate of less then 4% based on real numbers not the obama smoke and mirrors numbers with skewed labor participation juggling act. I would also like to see a aggressive civil and criminal investigation of the obama domestic and foreign policy agenda.

lol, what a tool.

Hard to say. However, I'm not optimistic about what our country would be like since the Mormon prophet can order Mitt to do whatever he wants. According to Mormons if the prophet says to do something that is god himself ordering it.

1) People are considered healthier than ever, not because they are, but because reports of sick people never get reported because a basic checkup costs $4500 out of pocket.

b) Vagina rip repair industry becomes trillion-dollar market due to large amount of damage caused by the, also soaring, coat hanger industry.

Three) Minority neighborhoods are now the new Iraq, with tons of missiles launched against housing projects and basketball courts. No one cares because most of America is blinded by their natural hate of minorities, and false reports that these American attacks were really "suicide bombers."

IV) The jobless rate goes down to 1% as Romney cuts minimum wage to $2 and gets rid of full time hours for Middle and Low income workers. Part time is the new full time.

Romney wins the 2012 election. What does Romney's America look like in 2016?

It looks as shitty as it does now, except we'll be four years closer to the financial, economic, and social cliff we are being driven over.

We'll probably have more child molestation and porno scanners at the airports, more inland checkpoints, more militarized police, more late night no-knock raids on innocent people, more drones flying over America, more unemployment, more surveillance, more debt, more government dependents, more war, and more denial of how bad things are in the general population.

Four more years of Barack (AKA, Bush's third term) = Four years of Mitt

People don't understand that Romney will be under enormous pressure from the GOP to enact Paul Ryan's budget plan. Even more shocking, if he wins the election they can do it through reconciliation and other legislative maneuverings. This has been the GOP plan for the last two years, tank the economy enough to win election and then enact as much of Ryan's plan to dismantle the federal government as we know it today. There will also be at least 1-2 supreme court justices retiring.

This is a HUGE election. People need to understand that Romney will never be allowed to govern as a moderate.

To proof the GOP is indeed Israel's good little puppet he attacks Iran in 2013 or 2014 at latest, sending thousands of US soldiers to die eventhough one or two years later it leaks out that Iran wasn't working on nuclear weapons after all. To pay for the tax cuts for the rich he strips the military of all benefits, so the soldiers that did survive the war in Iran will not have any pension or healthcare.
The middle class gets fucked over too so they have even less to spend, and the economy collapses further. The percentage of people officially living in poverty passes 50% while also more and more government agencies are outsourced to other countries.
Women's rights are stripped away one by one, and the GOP wants to ban women from voting too.

Oh, and last but not least: The GOP facists here on the forum blame Obama for everything of course.

At this point we would need to call a draft to fight Iran if we intended to win and have a stable outcome.

The same thing that happened during the Bush years would happen if Romney gets elected. The rich would get richer, the middle class would get poorer, and the protections of natural parks would get stripped away to drill for oil. Military budget spending would increase and we'd start a war with Iran. A bleak future.

Unemployment levels will be lower. They will be lower regardless of which candidate is elected. It would take too long to undo the current momentum (albeit slow) in job gains. Regardless who is elected, they will take credit for this. Largely, this is simply the result of coming out of a huge recession; it simply takes time for the job gains. Personally, I think that Obama's policies did help us get out of the recession; perhaps not in the most effective manner, but a positive effect nonetheless.

In 2016, with Romney in charge, I believe the very rich will be increasing their income at an even higher rate, widening the gap ever further. They will be very well off. The middle class will be slightly better off - only in that employment is higher, but they will probably be hit hardest by the closed "loopholes."

In education, we'll be worse off - while many other 1st world countries realize that higher education is critically important for our country's future - to the point where secondary education is incredibly cheap for their citizens, it will become ever more unaffordable for the vast majority of citizens in the U.S.

He would outsource Congress. Mitt damn near invented outsourcing. It would be comical.

I don't think there is going to be much real world difference as far as day to day life between either.
