Can we agree that Dave gets the lifetime achievement award for individuals and the e-cat gets the lifetime achievement award for threads? They both deserve special recognition.

Yeah... When I'm there I make sense of an otherwise spiraling down the rabbit hole post. I add flavor and balance what is otherwise a largely left leaning audience.

We haven't had any good ones for quite awhile. I think its a mix that some of the regular contributors of such threads are gone (and the few who aren't I think learned to stop doubling down on stupid, so once they see how things will go they bail before things get interesting/entertaining), we haven't had any worthy fresh members to take up the slack and I think there's been a lot of more serious things to be concerned about. We don't even get entertaining good trolls any more (the newer ones just seem to post an abundance of inane threads).

I know that using logic with regards to your posts is a lesson in futility, but if its a "clusterfuck of idiots" and you make sense of it, then basically you're saying you're king idiot of the cesspit.

Flavor and balance? Hahahaha. First of all, flavor isn't something I want with regards to politics or news, that's like whichever beer claims they have "the most flavor" (which isn't really a positive, as if its shitty flavor, having more of it is not a good thing), its nonsensical gibberish meant to sound like a positive. And balance, yeah, you balancing out someone like Dave McOwen is exactly the problem, you're just balancing extremist idiocy with your own.

After reading through a few of these I think I may be done with AT. This place has become more and more boring over the years, which is sad because I've spent ALOT of time on here. It seems like the place used to be more active, better posts, smart people who help you out if you asked, funny stuff, etc. Now to be honest it's like a bunch of jr high kids that throw insults around all the time. The ownage of the year stuff is even boring.

I'm pretty sure he's 90% trolling in all his posts. Those kind of posters should be exempt from pwnage nominations since that's the schtick.

If that isn't the case... Well... That leads to some uncomfortable conclusions. His membership goes back to 01; 15 years ago. If he joined at 10 years old(young!), that would make him old enough to know better. So either it's schtick, tramatic impact event, parasitic brain infection, or???

Yeah I'm not sure what to make of it. I kinda have a hunch that maybe some admin took an old banned account or something and is trying to TheFlyingPig it, but they don't want to be too on the nose.

Not even remotely close. He's an idiot in some ways but he just plain is not a big enough asshole (look at how he legitimately thinks putting someone on his ignore list is some huge insult that anyone would take personally, or how people should be afraid of him "chewing them out").

I frankly feel bad for picking on him (he actually had a thread or two that probably could qualify for self-ownage but I just couldn't nominate it as its just sad, one was where he linked someone intentionally taking an Einstein quote out of context and ignoring other quotes to say that Einstein believed God made the universe; and then there was another one where he derailed his thread by posting a wall of text of scripture after he got pissed about someone making fun of him saying something stupid, and then tried to say other people derailed his thread). I know he's had even dumber threads than those too.
