1-2 stops is not going to cause any fade in standard brakes and the difference in distance is mostly due to tires. You may be getting different feedback which gives the sense of a shorter stop.

Last car I had that had 4pot brembos actually stopped slightly longer than the 2 pot version. Difference is the brake feel was better with the 4 pot and that they could do it more than once. If I lived in a hilly area the 4pots would be a worthwhile upgrade just for that.
