According to fresh reports, the 2015 Corvette Z06 has run a lap time of 6:59.13 at Nurburgring, and the HD on-board video will be released “soon”.
What do we know about this run? It was done in a production 2015 C7 Z06, and the car was equipped with the Z07 aerodynamics package, along with GM’s new 8L90 eight-speed transmission.

Expect the real time to be closer to 7:10 when they manage to actually get a clean lap in. Last time they were there, by the time they were ready to try to set some full lap times they got rained out until their time was up.
