How on earth can you make this comparison?

Well, they both have 4 wheels, an engine, and a pricetag in that configuration of around $25k, so...pretty easily actually  No one says you have to compare class to class. I'm really interested in a BRZ, but since my current finances don't allow for a toy car (i.e. a third car that isn't quite so useful in the winter time or for toting things in), the new 200 would make a lot more sense because it's roomier (sedan), has AWD, but still has a nice big engine coupled to a smooth-sounding transmission. Is that the same as a RWD stick-shift? Nope. But looking in the price class, it starts to make sense.

I'm the same way car shopping though. I checked out the Camaro, hated it, and selected a Kia Soul instead

Hmm. For car people anything under 330 HP in a V6 is so 2010, and for non car people it doesn't look like a Bentley...
