I appreciate the effort but without the model numbers is hard to tell what is really a good deal and what is simply a cheap TV.
 
Yeah, I'm planning to add model numbers when I have some time. Bear in mind some of them are store specials which are cut-down versions of regular models.
 
The $1500 55" Samsung 4K at Best Buy is the JS8500. One of the highest rated TVs this year and $500 off from regular price.

$1K for a 55" Sony 4k smart tv is a pretty good deal. I think I will just skip Best Buy this year and just shop at HHgregg for Black Friday. Best Buy gets so crowded you can hardly move and if you have a shopping cart, forget about it.
 
Sony 55" X850C 4K sale is live @ $1299 at best buy. Really good deal on a top rated 4K set. Then for $200 more the 55" Samsung JS8500 is also live. 65" models are $500 more. Both are possibly the best bang for the buck in 4K sets this year. Both have HDMI 2.0a, HDCP 2.2, and HDR.
 
Looking at the Samsung 32" Smart for my son's bedroom. Several models of this. Pedestal vs feet? 720 vs 1080? One model is almost $500, (Model: UN32J6300AF) but don't see why. Another model is (UN32J5500AFXZA) same specs, looks same, but is $320. Color me confused.

The 40" Insignia at Best Buy is 1080p. It went to that price about a week ago and all the stores around me were sold out within one day. I clued my friend in about the deal and he picked up one. It is a great TV, especially considering it is $159. I bought the 32" version of this TV one year ago for $179 and it too has been a great TV. I wish they would put the 32" on sale this year because I'm looking for a good and cheap medium-size TV for my girlfriend in her bedroom.

In general, sets I've listed are 1080p unless I specified. I'll have to go thru the list and check. The model you mentioned is a 1080p smart TV, for what it's worth.
