Meh. It's a generic, very shallow horror game with lots of jump scares. If you like that sort of thing, then I guess it's worth checking out.

It might be that I'm burned out on steam sales, or because I have a backlog that I've yet really seen anything I want to buy. Did pick up Deal Island: Riptide, but nothing else at this time.

Was looking for deals on South Park and Wolfenstein; guess that'll be for the Holiday sale.

Borderlands 2 GOTY for $9.99 is a no brainer for anyone that doesn't have it. Easily one of the best games I have ever played. I spent full price when it came out and still feel like I got more than my money's worth.

I know a lot of people seem to be burned out, but I have picked up more this time around than last year. Lots of games going for $5 or less that look interesting in this sale.

I'm hoping for some decent 2014 Rocksmith song packs sales that's better than 25% off.

Generally when Rocksmith is the daily deal or flash deal the songs will be 33%-50% off. You might have missed it so far as it was on sale yesterday, but it will be back.

The only thing I've picked up in this sale so far is Walking Dead season 2...probably should have waited because I won't play it until its completely out..

Considering The Wolf Among Us, but same deal....so I am not in a hurry I guess.

After doing some googling, apparently, there's a specific bug/crash between the Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 load screens. It may even be specific enough to mainly affect people with my video card. Managed to bypass it by following someone's "fix": lowering all settings to very low. Otherwise, the game has been and is extremely stable. BSODs or crashes needing hard reboots just piss me off.

The contest seems clearly broken. Yesterday, 4 teams had scores in the 330k-332k range and the fifth had 747k; today 4 are 225k, and a different fifth is 610k.

It's unlikely but possible four teams are that close, but if there's any random element to the distribution, no way a fifth has that much difference.

While I try to give them a benefit of a doubt, there does seems to be something nefarious going on. First day, purple, second day red, third is green, now pink. Will blue be the winner tomorrow? My guess is yes and reason to believe the thing is rigged.

There is one package that contains Borderlands GOTY (the original) plus Borderlands 2 and another that is Borderlands 2 GOTY. I would go with the second option. Just to make things more confusing, they also have just the base Borderlands 2 on sale for $4.99. The extra $5 for all of the DLC is well worth it however. I paid $9.99 a pop for the DLC, so it's a good deal.

If anyone bought The Witcher 2, just a warning: there is a glitch in the tutorial. This glitch cost me 2 hours of my weekend. When you get done with the combat and can level up, pay close attention. You MUST choose the training tree item (Vitality I think) that can be mutated with a mutagen. This item is designated with a very small black dot on the outside of the circle.

If you don't choose that item to level up....you're stuck.....you can't finish the tutorial.

It took me four tries to figure that out. Maybe it's just me, but CD Project Red - you did me wrong on that.

Except you don't get all the DLC with the GOTY edition, infact you don't even get to the max level cap with the included DLC, you have to buy Ultimate Vault Hunter 2 separately and there are also other DLC's not included.

I suppose, but I don't see that as a huge deal honestly. You get all of the story related DLC (minus the mini headhunter packs which aren't that great anyhow) an extra character type plus the Ultimate Vault Hunter pack which is a solid deal at $10. Playing a character to the UVH2 level cap is pure grinding anyhow (unless playing with friends maybe).

Reddit started a push to have every color get two wins. And while it seems unlikely that one small subreddit could pull this off, it's much more plausible after looking into it.

So let's say 1000 people follow this and at the beginning of the day they push the "correct" color. Now, by 2 PM you see Blue has a pretty decent lead. If your color is blue, you will probably try and cash in your points. If you are one of the other colors, you may hold off to see if your team will catch up so you don't waste your points on a day your team won't win.

That just lets the snowball grow.

I had been a bit interested in this as well, but the red flag went up when I saw they don't allow you to post in the steam forums.

metacritic is full of 0s. there's 1 10/10 which actually sounds like one of the devs wrote it. another with 5.9.

they are saying it's worse than dayz and warz. everyone is kill on sight, the players are immature and childish, etc.
