you guys are slacking. i'm trying to buy 13 copies of orion horde but after i bought my first 4 pack the option to buy it as a guest is grayed out. anyone know a workaround?

i figured it out. can't buy a second 4 pack. have to buy them as individual copies.

FYI when you buy a 4 pack, it assigns one copy to your account. It must not allow multiple buys since you can only have one copy.

Now is the time to get railsimulator - each year they bundle several $20-$30 dlc's with the game and sell the bundle for under $10. The bundle changes year to year.

Steam voters are idiots.

The current choice, the winner of which goes to 50% off:

- Orion Prelude list $0.99, discount $0.50
- OMSI 2 bus driving list $35 discount $17.50
- IL-2 Sturmovik list $60 discount $30

Last two are sims, smaller customer base, can use the sales a lot.

What won? Of course, Orion Prelude. Now it's $0.49.

GalCiv III was unimpressive.

Its pretty much the old game except they switched from squares to hexes.

Needs MASSIVE changes to be a real sequel, and since its in open beta, thats not likely to happen.

Final Fantasy IV is good though, even if its changed a bit from previous versions. I picked it up dirt cheap.

No kidding... wasn't me I voted for IL-2.

yeah, I hate that.

I always vote for the independent games, and certainly those games that are getting the substantial discount. Either way--what kind of morons vote to save 30 cents?

I don't buy any of these games, but shit man...

The steam sale this year has been lackluster in my books, probably because I already own anything that I wanted thats currently on sale. The only thing I could possibly want are mostly early access games, and I don't purchase those on principle.

Well, to be honest, from the sales of the stupid Steam trading cards, I could afford the 49 cents to buy that shitty game.

But yeah, dumb. I voted for IL2 myself.

Same here despite the fact I did not have the money for them. Already got Orion: Dino Horde from the free giveaway.

Ya, I didn't want to buy IL-2 - I just thought it was a lot better pick for the people who do. I wouldn't have minded the other sim as well.

It was actually to save 10 cents.

What's Burnout Paradise the Ultimate box like? Worth the $5?

My opinion: I got it for the PS3, and with that controller, I loved it. Bought the DLC, spent a lot more, and got great value, probably played it over 100 hours.

I don't like racing games usually, it's the only one I have and I thought it was a great balance of racing, exploring, variety in environments - city, mountain, shore, etc.

It has some reward for getting to know the city a lot, over 100 'secret rewards' to find, some of which take a good while, a 'combat race' mode.

The music does get old and repetitive, but not that big an issue. The theme song fits it.

The one mode I didn't like was the 'stunt' event, and the game doesn't require it.

So I think it's a really great game - but the caveat would be that I don't think I'd have enjoyed it nearly as much with keyboard/mouse.

In fact, I bought it on PC after that and never even played it. I also played it on a big screen tv, that added to it.

So, all kinds of carrots and variety to keep you playing - tired of racing go look for another hidden spot, switch cars, go to the island on a motorcycle, jump from buildings.

Hope that helps - great game but perhaps mostly with a controller.

I play most games on the pc using a 360 controller so that's a non issue.
Guess its worth it then. I miss the old Burnout series (Gamecube), some of the most fun I remember with Arcade racers.

If you get 10% the fun I did you'll be back here saying you loved it. But tastes are different - most seem to like most racers more than I do. I think it's a steal at $5.

Agree wholeheartedly. It's worth every penny of $5, and probably double. But you must use a controller (not an issue for you, obviously).

Yea I didn't get that either. "Indie for the sake of indie?" I dunno. People just wanting moar games in their library so cheaper is better? I dunno. It looks awful. I voted for IL2 also, I doubt I would have purchased it, but at least it's giving those who would a solid deal.
