Keep in mind with a used Subaru you've got a timing belt job required around 100k. I was quoted anywhere from 400-800 (from dealers) when I had mine done four years ago.
Also I don't know when/if they ever fixed it, but the non-turbo engines had head gasket issues and they will eventually require replacement. Of course turbo engines bring other maintenance stuff to worry about.
