Is the "bezel" around the port preventing it from going in all the way? Buy a 6" MxF extension
Yep, and the headphone's 3.5mm adapter has a wide base. The splitter postmortemIA posted also seems suspiciously wide, I'm not sure it would work.
Since the headphones are 6.3mm the best thing would be to find a 6.3->3.5mm that can fit instead of the included one...

I got the Microcenter combo deal with a $250 4790K and an open box MSI G55 SLI board for $53 (looks unused, but I haven't set it up yet). Probably saved at least $100 over even the best online prices.

Also some minor game purchases on GoG and Amazon.

I resisted the urge to go to MicroCenter... with great effort.

...but I did fetch an Acer 24" monitor from Newegg, so now I can bring the other 19" downstairs and run double monitors on my main PC.

And we got a new microwave to replace our broken one at Best Buy... but it wasn't on sale. :(

So I started this thread and never said what I got! Here it goes...

I got the Dyson DC65 Animal vacuum from Amazon. Not an amazing deal, but pretty good. I desperately needed a new vacuum and this one seemed to fit the bill perfectly.

Next, I got an AR-15 from Palmetto State Armory. I pieced together this lower, this upper, this carry handle, and three of these magazines for a complete, quality AR-15 at $602 shipped. Good deal, but not "z0mg doorbuster" style deal, either. I'm happy with what I paid.

Next... What good is an AR-15 without ammo? I got 50 boxes of this ammo for $222 shipped (22 cents a round; can't beat that).

That's it. No super crazy deals, just "good enough" deals. I'm most excited about the vacuum, believe it or not. Damn, I feel old and boring now.

Sweet! I went shooting twice over the weekend... which is pretty good for me. Ran a few rounds through both of my AR's... ...I call it 'going to see my therapist.'

Understand that Wolf ammo is steel-cased and made in Russia. I'm not a big steel-case fan, and I've had hit-or-miss performance with Russkie ammo altogether. But you sure can't beat it for the price.

I buy all my 5.56mm ammo from TargetSportsUSA; when you buy in case quantity, you get free shipping... so you can get a case of Lake City 55grn for $350, shipped, or PMC for $340. Even without free shipping their prices match everyone else, so the free shipping makes it even better.

If anyone still cares, I got a 4TB WD Green at $94.99AR (104.99 out of pocket). Had to crack open a WD Elements to do it, but I was careful enough nothing is scratched or broken. After some wdidle3-ing, its running great. =D
