I hope someone picks up Longmire. One of my favorite summer shows...and COULD become a good regular season show too.

So far, I'm not impressed with the "new offerings" this season.

Haven't watched Selfie yet, but the trailers look pretty bad...Scorpion is laughable...but I don't think they intended it to be a comedy...and Forever is watchable...for now, but just.

looks like it's a goner.

Fox Pulls Utopia From Tuesdays, MasterChef Junior to Claim Time Slot

Utopia Cancelled from Tuesdays
Fox’s grand “social experiment” is being scaled back to one day a week sooner than planned.
Effective immediately, Utopia will now air only on Fridays at 8/7c. (As originally envisioned, it was to drop the Friday telecast after six weeks.) Its Tuesday time slot will ultimately be inhabited by Season 2 of MasterChef Junior, starting Nov. 4.
Until then, an encore of the hour-long Family Guy/Simpsons crossover episode will fill the void on Oct. 7, followed by repeats of the Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers season openers (on Oct. 14).
Post-season baseball coverage occupies Fox Tuesdays on Oct. 21 and 28.
In its most recent Tuesday outing, Utopia drew 2 million total viewers and a 0.8 demo rating, while MasterChef Junior in its freshman season averaged 5.6 mil and a 2.1, airing on Fridays.

SW Rebels premiers tomorrow night, but no need to be in a rush viewing it as Season 2 renewal has already been given.

Walking Dead = license to print money

Premiere is this Sunday. Wonder if they'll break last year's ratings record.

I can't stay interested in TWD either. It was okay for the first season, but after that ... bleh. I think I'm a season or two behind because every time I think about catching up, I just go to my list of 8-10 other shows I'm behind on that are significantly more enjoyable.

Every TWD episode:
Zombies.
Run away.
OMG A ZOMBIE IS GETTING <Insert Person's Name>.

Then either A) Person barely makes it away back to safety, or B) Person is killed.

Perhaps one of the most overrated shows on TV imo.

ive never understood the appeal of TWD

I've been a fan of anything zombies and/or post-apocalyptic since I was a little kid, so I will watch any zombie show/movie that is even half-way passable.

Agreed. I love a good post-apocalyptic zombie story, but I don't like the old-school, slow, Night of the Living Dead style zombies. They're not very menacing enemies, the only way to build suspense into the series is to have the humans be incredibly stupid. After seeing them make mistake after mistake week after week eventually you start rooting for the zombies as they seem like the species that's more deserving of survival.

I love zombie anything, even before the fad (zombie hipster), but TWD is one of the worst shows on TV and I can't get past the terrible writing.

Yep, it's bad, but I'm committed now and I have definitely watched worse zombalyptic fare.

I expected the new season of Criminal Minds to be good because of Jennifer Lover Hewitt. However it was rather disappointing. JLH tries to be a smartass on the show but it just makes it awkward.

The thing about TWD is that it doesn't change. There's only so much zombie bashng and survival wandering, and then it becomes "same old, same old."

Perhaps the answer is horror only works in small doses.
Zombies are surprising and terrifying. After heroes survive and dispatch a multitude or two then not as scary.
Vamps, (the Strain) a single one can take down many people then after a few episodes, anyone (any one) can take out a pack.
Stargate, The Gua'ld seem impossible to stop. 214 episodes later, just one of the baddies in the universe.

What is the old saying "Familiarity breeds contempt"
