Patricia Arquette has very little range as an actress. And she was seriously, even laughably miscast as the "take charge" lead in a police procedural. Absent her familial ties, she never would have made it in Hollywood, imho.

Can't really disagree with any of this. She is now an Oscar winner too! :D

Is Fox trying to kill Gotham?

only one episode in MArch.
only one in April.
and one (the season finale) in May.
What are you talking about? Episodes 12-18 were shown in consecutive weeks, and episodes 19-22 are scheduled to be shown in consecutive weeks.

I watched almost every episode of Medium... I think it's her voice. She has a very monotone voice that can go soft/loud, but the tone doesn't really change?

Definitely her voice. Voice is a key component for an actor. If you deliver every line in every role in the compressed continuum of a soft/loud monotone, that's pretty much the definition of no range as an actor.

All that said, I did watch and enjoy Medium. But her as the lead of a police CSI dept.? No way. The only thing I can think of is that they were timing the series debut to ride on the coattails of her Oscar nominatlon (and win!)

Oh..... THAT's Trevor Noah. Saw the news earlier on TV, just googled his name. He's barely been on the show, but no one else is left since Samantha Bee, hubby, and British guy whom's name I can't remember are gone, everyone else is fairly new too.

They've had several pitches over the last decade (Star Trek: Federation, one featuring Worf, etc) so it will be interesting to see if it happens and in which timeframe the show takes place.

For those who are interested in a bubble show (Forever?) continuing, go to http://www.usatoday.com/pages/interactives/sos-2015/ and vote thumbs up or down for the 21 shows on the edge of renewal. Article is here.

"Last year, more than 144,000 readers voted, and eight of 15 bubble shows were renewed. That's why a vote, though far from the only factor, can help influence programmers."

American Crime and Battle Creek are both as excellent as their writier/producer/creator pedigrees would leave you to believe, and even Backstrom has improved to "pretty good."

Is network TV in the same damnable position as the current Republican Party . . . held hostage to yahoos? ;)

How the hell is Person of Interest a bubble show? It used to have over 10 million viewers, has around 9 million now, last I checked.

They do need to wrap it up as it is getting old story wise but still a good show.

Problem with CBS is that they've got so few shows with bad ratings and went into the year with only Mentalist slotted to end and free up an hour. But if they kill POI before both CSI or Scorpion, heads will need to roll.

I don't think it's 'getting old' at all. I believe the little 'lull' we're feeling right now is in direct correlation with too many episodes in a season. They got the story moving just fine, but 22+ is just too many, hence they had to stretch it with fillers. If only it were just around 16 episodes in a season, it would be perfect.

I do think they need to wrap it up though, at least this story line. They can't delay the big bad war between the two AIs anymore, and it's going to happen soon.

Yea I was referring to the AI storyline as the main one, getting numbers and then saving people, is still great.

I think this season has been pretty good exploring that storyline from the opposite perspective. It'll get old if it doesn't finish up by next season. Lost and Star Trek Voyager raised my tolerance for long storylines significantly.
