You can use the doors of the ship and open them to space to suffocate the fire. Easiest way to put them out IMO

Meh, they're nice to sell. I've probably saved ~2% of the total cost on games I've bought this sale from selling the resulting cards. Never understood the point of hanging onto them.

Those are the summer sale cards. Collect the set and you get the summer sale badge. They're just randomly issued; you don't get them for buying the game listed, it's just a theme thing.
 
You get a card for every $10 you spend during the sale and by voting enough for the choice selections.
 
I've died several times due to fire. Depending on the battle and what the enemy ship is doing it's actually a rather easy thing unless you don't mind also letting your crewman get sucked out.

Walking Dead has been on sale for that price recently. And lots of people own it already. Van Helsing is a newer game that hasn't been on sale yet, at least not for 50% off. I'm voting for that and hoping it wins. Otherwise I'll wait to grab it at the xmas sale. Also, why only two choices?
 
i've heard the opposite, that it was quite good.

At least from my steam friends that played it, all of them loved it. I voted that, not sure if i would buy it at 50% but im voting it anyway for "being a new deal"

About FTL, the best way to stop fire is to open the outer windows if that room has them. if it doesnt then you better have enough droids/crew members to stop it before it spreads or kills your people.
When i used to play FTL i used to die quite a lot from fire, specially in those fights that are near a sun that from time to time ignite a room. Sometimes i didnt have enough people to stop a fire before another fire starts somewhere else

such an addicting game. 30hs on it an i was never able to beat it
 
Payment options seem to be saved per client? I have been able to buy things from the desktop client without issue, but the phone app had some old payment info saved.

Well, fixed now. Got Torchlight II in the flash sale.

My fires always seem to start in the room that controls the ship's doors/windows and leaves me screwed. The 3rd level blast doors upgrade helps a lot but it isn't often that I have the extra scrap to get it.
 
just give up when you see that you wont survive the fire...

in the end the game is about that 😛

if i dont have an EXCELLENT start of journey in the 1st 2 sectors i just restart it cause i know ill probably wont be able to go through it.

if i dont have at least 5 crewmembers, the shields and weapon systems with some upgrades, some new powerful weapons... i just restart

if i get the droids room or cloak room its a big bonus that might compensate one of the things i just said

i rarely spend money on upgrading doors
