I didn't buy a ton of stuff, but there were a few things that I had been wanting that I grabbed:

Civ 5 Brave New World
Torchlight 2
Tomb Raider
Age of Empires 2 HD

Fez should not be on steam, way too many problems. The game won't even work on most integrated graphics devices. I know it was only 5 dollars, still annoying.

I'm sad to see so many of your lists without Kerbal Space Program.

Unless you really hate building things and open-sandbox play, you are missing out on one of the top 25 games of this decade.

Graphics suck, and then awe. Not casual at all. If you are a gamer and haven't played the demo, then you are demoted to 'likes games'.

PSA brought to you by 2x Charles Shaw Shiraz.

I tried the demo a couple of time. I think KSP is an amazing accomplishment even in its' current "unfinished" state (will it ever truly be a finished product? ) but I just didn't find it to be that much fun.

I did buy a few games.

Dishonored
Max Payne 3
Hotline Miami
Euro Truck Simulator 2 (This was an interesting game to me for some reason, to try)
Deadlight
Surgeon Simulator

Was really hoping the Family Guy game would be 75% off... I kinda want to blow through it real quick but not the price it sells.

This is actually my smallest Steam sale purchase list in a while. :)

Only got FTL, Strike Suit Zero, and Payday: The Heist. Considered Tomb Raider and some others but I have enough of a backlog that they'll drop in price before I have a chance to play them.

Oh, and the one I'm mad about missing was Reus. Looked cool, missed the 75% off sale, never hit more than 25% off the rest of the sale.

Reus.

They need to finish the South Park: Stick of Truth game, and then put it on Steam for cheap :D

there's no point to KSP right now. You just build stuff and go to space...

I had a demo awhile back and while building stuff was fun, it got old quick.

My purchases during the sale were:
GTA series
Walking Dead x2 (gifted one to friend)
Saints Row 2

Civ 5: Brave New World (full price, just couldn't resist...)

Just Cause 2 (gifted from friend during sale)

I have already beat Walking Dead, you can color me a big fan. I'm playing Civ 5, but want to get through Saints Row 2 before 4 comes out.

I was kinda eeeehh about picking up Anno 2070, since im not a big sifi person and enjoy the medieval times better, but the game has been great so far. Just learning the ropes in sandbox mode... but who plays the campaign anyhoo!?

There were quite a few games I was had in the cart, and was ready to pull the trigger... But I'm actually making some progress in my back catalog, and anything I wanted now, will be cheaper at Xmas! :)

That is the point of sandbox games though. You make your own objective.

DAMN YOU STEAM!!! Ys Origin is on sale now (midweek madness), and wasn't during the entire sale. And it was high on my wishlist. But now I have a massive backlog.....

Anyway the entire Ys catalog is on sale right now for 66% off. I HIGHLY recommend Ys: The Oath in Felghana if you like 3/4 hack n slash games.

Also, Craig, wherever you are, Kentucky Route Zero is 50% off right now, and I know you were pissed it lost the Flash vote...

I was pissed four days ago that Trine 2 lost the community vote at 80% off......today it's 85% off mid-week madness. Thank you community for not voting for it.

Also really glad I didn't pull the trigger at the regular sale price ($7.99 or w/e) after it lost the final CC vote.

I just bought the 1&2 complete pack for my account.. Im trying to buy an additional 3 pack for gifts, but the option to purchase as a gift is greyed out.. Anyone else having this problem ? (Steam support seems to be down too)

Same here. I think it is because it is implied that from this 3-pack, 1 copy is for your account and 2 to send as gifts.

Buy Trine 2: Complete Story 3-Pack
Includes three copies of Trine 2: Complete Story - Send the extra copies to your friends!

Yes, that's always how the pack works. One will be automatically put in your library, and the rest in your inventory as a giftable item.

You can't buy "packs" when you already own the game (sometimes they allow 2 packs but I've never seen 3/4 packs that allow it).

I picked up a ton Indy Games.. Can't really go wrong for $5 a pop. I think I purchased about 14 games total. My favorites were Legend of Grimrock, The Swapper and Civ 5 Gold ($10 Amazon).

Interesting.. So if you already own the game, you cannot buy it as a gift for someone else ? Seems kinda counter-productive.. What is the point of this ? to keep people from hording games ?

I wanted the complete set, so I bought the 1&2 combo for myself since its not available in the "pack". I went back to get the 3 pack of T2CS only for 3 friends.. Not only the 3 pack is grayed out, but the single game (as a gift) as well.

I was able to purchase from my sons account, (luckily one of the 3 accts I actually have access to). So now I have a game on his account and 2 in inventory.. I guess I will add the other 2 people as friends to his account so I can give them the game SMH

Anyway, thanks for the info guys.. I have never run into this before.
