2013 Steam Summer Sale! DEAD

And then again, Mount and Blade Warband's Steam page says it is 100MB, yet the download is roughly 1.5GB.

I'd chalk up more than a few strange size listings to simple errors.

Yeah, it sounds like whoever's in charge of updating the system requirements on the product page isn't quite doing their job properly. I imagine that number has to be updated manually.

There is something about this game, it is like soothing lol. I like it. I can't back up for shit and I drive like I own the road (because seriously who is going to mess with me in a big ass truck? lol) but it is actually pretty cool. Best part, I open up the radio and it has a bunch of european internet radio stations. oh man some crazy ass song I didn't understand but made me lol came up as I am arriving at the city to deliver my cargo. Red light? See no cars coming opposite direction? Cruise on through 😀

I recommend trying out the demo on Steam. I was skeptical as hell going in, but for the $8 I can get this for from my friend I figure why not, I've spent more on worse lol
That sounds a lot like Train Simulator then. It's not necessarily a game in the traditional sense, but rather it's more a relaxing and cathartic experience. A lot of people ended up buying that in last year's sale (when it was heavily discounted) for the same reason.

Downloading the Euro Truck Sim 2 demo, fuck me lol

EDIT:

I'm in on this one at about $5, so probably not this sale. I will say they recreated Germany's narrow ass roads remarkably well 😉

And yes the radio stations are a nice touch.. Was listening to a CZ Country station, then switched over to CZ goth.. That was... interesting.

It'll end on the 23rd. Summer sales always start at 10am on a Thursday and completely end (all deals expire) at 10am on Tuesday.

So, we have a 12 day sale over 13 days🙂

As was said, the last day is usually a recap (some days seem mostly like one).

If all you did was get through the demo you barely touched it. It sticks with you.

Ehh it wasn't really scary more frustrating and the dark was really annoying... but anyhow, i'll vote for it cause the other two looks even more boring or multiplayer

The game isn't to scale, if that's what you're asking. A trip that would take 3 hours in real-life only takes a half-hour to an hour in Euro Truck. As such, the cities are scaled down along with the rest of the map. They're not big. There's maybe a familiar landmark here and there, but they're far from exact replicas of their real-world counterparts.
Oh that sucks... I should have realized, that would have been fun though.

Yeesh. I own Trine 2. They sell Trine 2 'complete story upgrade', which is given free if you have 'gobline menace' that I don't see for sale.

When I add the upgrade to my cart, it does not say I already own it. Then I looked at the Trine 2 page and it says 'you already own Trine 2 complete story'. So forget that.

Then they have an 'artwork and soundtrack' package. Doesn't say I have that either.

So I click on my library to see what DLC I have, it just says 'Trine 2 Collectors'.

So what the hell is collectors... what a headache they make it.

Does that already have the artwork and soundtrack? I can't trust the shopping cart to tell me if I own it.

i'm not a huge 4x player but i just spent like 4 hours playing fallen enchantress legendary heroes.

definitely addicting. after my first run (didn't beat the map or anything), it seems like expanding quickly and building towns/outposts is the best way to set yourself up, otherwise it's just too hard to produce units quickly without enough towns.

anyway, really enjoyed it compared to other 4x games. will probably play this a bunch more 🙂

Payday: The Heist won the vote

Flash sales:

Forge - $4.99
Deadlight - $3.74
Prototype 2 - $13.59
Company of Heroes - $2.49

Bleh.

Yeah I wanted/expected Amnesia to win. Payday just looks stupid to me.

Also, Deadlight is actually $3.74... someone/thing at Steam screwed up. Same price as a couple days ago... oh well. My backlog is just too damn big now so that's probably a good thing.

I'm having a lot of fun with it too. One thing I like about it is that it doesn't seem to bog down at the end as much as most 4X games do. I have only played on a couple of small maps so far, so maybe that changes as the worlds get larger.

ARMA II the complete collection is on sale for $26.79 (33% off).

A challenging, and sometimes frustrating game..but so insanely addictive.

I played 4 hours straight my first time playing.(which was last night..7-18-2013).

Choices,choices..sleep or play ARMA II?

It's a tough question sometimes.

Mass Effect 3 isn't even on Steam.

Either is Dragon Age 2 or Battlefield3.

All three of those games would have been great additions to any Steam sale and great additions to my Steam library.

But no......Valve/EA don't seem to be able to play nice.

EA is too invested in Origin to ever let its premier titles hit Steam. That said, Origin isn't the worst software in the world...but I only use it because I have to.

Origin wouldn't be able to compete with Steam if they shared the EA library. Steam is already too well established. Their only hope was to have exclusive titles.

The joke's on them. I just stopped buying EA titles instead!😛

I was just looking at my transactions and there are some embarrassing ones for games at $30 that are $3 now, but I was checking on Dragon Age.

I got the PC version on Steam, which was Dragon Age Deluxe + Awakenings, for $53.49.

Soon after, they replaced that with the 'ultimate' edition that includes DLC. They won't sell the DLC if you bought the Deluxe edition.

So after spending that much, you have to either re-buy the game, or get the DLC directly from Bioware one at a time, very expensive.

It'd seem like as customer service they could replace Deluxe with Ultimate, especially considering the price paid, but nope.

Exactly.

In general I agree with the sentiment, but there was no way I was missing ME3, which was awesome in essentially all respects, and I really enjoyed Kingdoms of Amalur as well.

Yeah, I will most likely be missing ME3 for some time, maybe never play it.

Weird--I have Amalur on Steam. Maybe got it before they pulled it?

i think amalur is back in steam? im pretty sure i saw it recently.

After 3 or 4 days without buying anything, i got Van Helsing

😀

Still waiting for a Mortal Kombat Komplete deal

Amalur....that's another title I would have purchased if it were on Steam......

I understand EA wanting to promote Origin (although I think it was stupid for them to develop Origin....the should have just come to Valve and negotiated a sweetheart deal to use Steam). But not allowing OLD titles to be purchased/reside on Steam is just stupid. All IMHO.
