Idk why you insist that MR is superior to RR when there are many cases where it isn't. Namely acceleration and braking. :colbert:

Doesn't that solely depend on weight distribution? If the MR and RR are both 40/60, then the RR isn't any better for acceleration and braking.

RR is better for cabin space, letting the 911 be a 2+2
 
Static weight distribution doesn't mean anything. Dynamic inertia and weight transfer would be totally different between the two even with the same static corner weights.
 
261 HP, yuck. That car needs at least 400 HP. For the price of one of those I'd rather get a Camaro ZL1 or a Mustang Cobra.

Exdeath got it before me. Static distribution doesn't mean much once the car is moving. So technically in the example you gave, the RR car would still have an advantage in dynamic acceleration and braking balance due to the increased rear grip the weight of the engine provides.

Like I said, there are objective advantages to the RR layout over the MR layout. Overall, the advantages/disadvantages are about the same I would say, but not nearly as one sided as some people make it out to be.

that test seems like bullshit for many reasons, but primarily the the 7.2 GT3 wears R Comps, its hard to compare that to the street tires on the cayman r

Yeah it's not the best of tests, but it's all I could find. Tires hamper the cayman and weight hampers the 911.

For a better idea, here is Sport Auto's long running list of the Nordschleife. Same driver for all cars.
