Maybe Lester, his outings were just outstanding throughout the postseason but I guess Ortiz batting .723 ws just insane..

Pretty much. Cards have lots of rookies and they like to home grow them. Taking these younger guys so far into the playoffs was damn good experience. Especially Wacha. He'll come back with a vengeance.

My father was a hardcore Red Sox fan. He used to take me to Fenway when I was a kid. When Johnny Pesky died last year dad said it was "from the embarrassment of Valentine's mess." Sadly he passed away two months after Pesky did.
