Wow, Ortiz strikes out for the first time in 10 games on a low 97MPH heater, interestingly the Cards are now changing pitchers, I don't get it, this guy's good enough to K Ortiz and your taking him out of the game??

Well if there was a team to take down the Cardinals, it seems fitting to be Boston.

I think that town deserves the WS win at home after the marathon fiasco.

Good games! Go Cards 2014!

Congrats to Boston! You guys deserved it.

Sorta wish I was still in Red Sox nation to witness the celebration like I did in 2004.

Props to the Cards and Mike Metheny as well to do well after losing Pujols.

so awesome!

Nice series by STL too. The Cards are probably set up good for a lot of postseason runs in the near future.

Pretty much. Cards have lots of rookies and they like to home grow them. Taking these younger guys so far into the playoffs was damn good experience. Especially Wacha. He'll come back with a vengeance.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!

My father was a hardcore Red Sox fan. He used to take me to Fenway when I was a kid. When Johnny Pesky died last year dad said it was "from the embarrassment of Valentine's mess." Sadly he passed away two months after Pesky did.

Thanks, dad. I know you're up there with Johnny celebrating & smoking a cigar.
