Fear Collection
Red Guerrilla
Metro 2033

$20, I think that pushes me over $150 total 😱

edit: Ill buy rage when it hits $5

I'm thinking of getting Assassins creed:revelations. I haven't played any of the other ones, can I just pick this one up and start or should I play the other 3 first?

The individual Assassin's Creed stuff adds up to less than the pack price. Math fail, or...?

Math fail, adds up fine for me. Probably not your fault though, Steam's pricing has had a little trouble today. A couple times it couldn't decide if Rage was 9.99 or 10.19.

Yes, just as long as you know what to expect when you buy it.

FWIW it's not a game. I would call it an "interactive storybook", but that's not even accurate, because it's not interactive either.

It's basically a 90-minute long walk on an abandoned island (albeit the most beautiful island I've ever seen in a video game), with a narrator gradually telling you a story as you explore (in fact the best voice-acting I've ever heard).

There's no combat, no challenge, nothing. You walk around a beautiful, desolate environment as the narrator tells you a story (and without spoiling anything, it's a very bleak one). Can't recommend it to everyone, but if you're patient and adult enough to experience something a little more different and though-provoking, I definitely recommend it for $2.
Thank you, I'm definitely going to get it 🙂

Pack just went to $34.99 for me...let's see if it sticks. It was showing $44 something when I posted before btw.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas with all the add-ons are dirt cheap, and highly recommended.

And if for some sick reason one of you morans hasnt picked up KOTOR yet, you really need to get on that shit.
Its less than a big mac or whopper.

If I had to choose between rage and Metro, which would be the better option?

Buy Metro 2033 if you can appreciate visceral combat, an amazing atmosphere, an engaging storyline, and some of the best graphics out there.

Buy RAGE if you'd rather play Borderlands' and Fallout 3's bastard child with tacked-on driving mechanics and consolitis.

(I may be a bit biased here)

Wait FEAR 1+dlc is 30gb? wtf FEAR 2 is 15gb but FEAR 3 is less than 5gb? My poor isp is going to cut me off, have over 67gb of data just for today.

I'd recommend playing the others first, especially if the game's story is important to you... AC is really convoluted, and Revelations refers back to the other games, which may leave you wondering what the hell is going on.

is rage worth $10? just picked up FO: NV for $5 (and havent played FO3 yet, haha)

edit: according to metacritic user reviews, the answer is no (4.5/10)

You'll be a bit lost on the story, but you can read the back story on Wikipedia to catch you up. It's not that big a loss. But I will say that Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood are very good games, and well worth playing (AC2 is apparently a crappy console port though, which is a shame, as I found it more compelling than Brotherhood). Still, if you just get Revelations, a 5 minute read on the back story would probably be enough to gear you up.

Play it with a controller though, the keyboard controls are gnarly. It recognizes the Xbox 360 controller automatically, which is a plus.

I was tempted, really want a star wars game, and i'll be honest force unleashed 2 sucks.

However, the graphics look terrible, it was released in like 2003!

GTA bundle should be awesome. I read somewhere that there is a mod or pack to make gta 4 look better graphically too.

Got Sim City 4 too loved 3 but my discs dead.

What if I already played it 2-3 times on the xbox?

Anyways so far I have spent (just counted) $211. Don't Judge!

Buy it now. Download later. 🙂

The original FEAR is a masterpiece, one of the best shooters ever made, and had some well-implemented (tasteful) horror elements added on top.

The sequels were mediocre at best, added Cawadooty-style gameplay, and were focus-tested to hell so they could appeal to 15 year olds.

FEAR 1 is a must buy. FEAR 2 and 3 not so much.

Bad timing for Steam sale as I'm kinda broke, but I still gave in. I missed out on the day 1 MW3 deal.

Bought so far:

Bethesda Collection (bought for Skyrim, see all the rest as bonus games)
LA Noire
Assassins Creed Collection (Never had any of them, played original on 360)
Age of Empires 3 Complete
Rage
Orcs Must Die
Hitman Collection
Trine 2
Earthworm Jim Collection
Far Cry Complete
Serious Sam 3

Yeah, This is on top of a good 20+ games I already own and need to play.

Good thing I buy games on sales only.

The graphics in KOTOR are definitely dated, but the art was stylized not intended to look realistic.

It's still a great pre-EA Bioware RPG, with a great story, good sidequests, very good voice acting, interesting companions.

Note that it's D&D style combat, not FPS. The visuals are continuous real-time but under the hood it's a series of turns and dice rolls. Hits and damage are from your gear and stats not aiming.

To the people asking about Metro 2033, I suggest grabbing it. The game was a lot of fun, with some cool mechanics here and there, and a few parts that are genuinely scary as hell!

It almost entirely takes place underground in Russia, post apocalyptic world. You trade and barter with ammunition, so you are very limited on using your ammo, cause that is also your money.

You also have air to keep track of, if you are outside or in an unsealed area, if you run out of air, you die.

For 5 bucks I think its a steal, and if you play it you wont be disappointed.
