I never encountered any bugs.
I will say the low-end AI is much weaker than the low-end AI in the original game. (Dark elder and Tau just stand around doing nothing).
BUT, the higher AI's are actually a little better than in the original game.

Thats not the issue.

The issue is that its a terrible game.

They count the days in Valve time (literally). From 10amPST to 10amPST. So if you voted on the one earlier today before it was 10amPST it counted as yesterday, but if voted for it after 10amPST it would count as today.

even so I think they may have marked the first day as counted/not required given how others already got the final badge earlier.

The people that got it earlier voted after 10amPST for the community vote that started 2 hours before 10am.

Gave in and bought Jagged Alliance.

Only 10 more hours until the sale ends... right guys? That's the last game I'm buying, right? I'm done... I think...

Why does it matter? Soulstorm sucks ass. Buggy and a complete waste of money and HDD space.

I agree with you. I mainly play campaign throughout the entire Dawn of War I series. Dark Crusade was a blast with the addition of a RISK gameboard blend with RTS and adds a lot of replayability with all the different race choice. Soulstorm the final installment of DOW1 was a huge letdown of its predecessor. In Dark Crusade the territories you conquered you get to keep the structures you've built on subsequent missions. In Soulstorm they punish the player by erasing the board (wipe the slate clean) whenever an enemy attacks. Not only that but the difficulty was upped significantly since the last installment. Base building was absolutely fruitless. The only way you win is by rushing.

Hated DC, to be honest. The way that the races were gimped so that you could only have so many of such and such units was really stupid, I thought. Add to that the gimping of the high end units (like Terminators) or making shit really expensive (I'm fairly sure a Predator cost more vehicle count than a Land Raider...wtf?!). Just dumb. I liked the races so much more in vanilla and WA, DC made all the races really puny-feeling and stupid.

they are bringing back the A titles as the flash sales - note how long these flash sales are lasting

There were some good sales, but I was rather disappointed. It seemed that the same games went on deep discount over and over, while whole groups of titles were overlooked.

Half-life package went on 75% off twice, but the quake and unreal packages stayed at 50% off.

Dead Island went on sale 3 or 4 times?

Skyrim went on sale twice, fallout 2 or 3 times, borderlands 2 or 3 times, left 4 dead package went on sale at least twice. Where were the id software titles besides Rage? Where was quake 3 or quake 4?

It seems to me that steam was pushing B rating games, and the same A rating games over and over.

The unreal package went up for community vote, but lost to borderlands. Really? Borderlands has been on sale over and over. The unreal package rarely goes on sale. Why vote for a game that goes on regular discount? Maybe borderlands lost to Unreal because people recognized borderlands?

The Bethesda collection was bundled with brink, really? Who packages a FPS with a RPG? If the Bethesda collection would have included Oblivion instead of brink, now that would have been a great deal.

It seems to me that the summer sale were the same games that go on sale all through the year. How about something different besides what we normally see in the midweek and weekend sale?

For me, there was nothing on sale that wasn't on sale in the past, but i did grab a few indie games that i didn't have yet, and also a few extra games to gift to friends who I'm trying to get to start pc gaming instead of Xbox.

I finally picked up arma 2 for dayz when it was 18 bucks. Even when it was only selling at a small discount it was one of the best selling games on steam. I'm pretty sure this game made more than any others during the sale.

The only game I bought for myself was Skyrim at 50% off.

All of the other games I bought were to gift out to my kids.

I created a steam account for when the grandkids stay the night, this is so we can play over the lan. The key titles I was hoping to buy were left 4 dead series, borderlands, serious sam, unreal and quake.

The left 4 dead package went on for 75% off, but unreal and quake were at 50% off.

I bought a 4 pack of serious sam 3 to gift out.

I was hoping to get some good death match games for when the kids and grandkids come over, but 1/2 the titles I was looking at never went past 50% off.

Agree 100%. It seemed like the same games were on sale constantly.

I am still contemplating Skyrim ....... $30, htmmmmmmmmm

If you like RPGs, its an amazing game.

I was on the fence for a long time. Bought it during the summer sale for $29. After playing for a little over 2 hours, I think its well worth $30.

I somehow didn't get the achievement for voting everyday, even though I definitely did. I'm guessing that the votes from the iPhone app weren't logged correctly at some point.

Just picked up SPAZ. Dunno why I hadn't bought it at any point before or even noticed it given it looks right up my alley. Oh well, no harm no foul.

Total tally this steam sale for me:

Star Ruler - $4.99
Stellar Impact Bundle - $2.99
Portal 2 - $4.99
SPAZ - $2.49
Saints Row The 3rd: Season Pass DLC Pack - $4.99

Only thing I didn't get that I wanted was Skyrim, but then again it wasn't $20 or less either.

not a fan of seeing the same games going on sale over and over either.

its good for people who missed them, but seriously, if it was a daily deal, you have 24 hours to buy it, no excuse there.
