I wasnt expecting it, but when I saw omd2 on sale I figured I could hope.

I read a developer blog the other day, and there's still no indication on a release date, but that certainly doesn't mean that we cannot get a pre-order going at any time. It sounded like they're still working on the finishing touches on the acts. They've got separate people doing act 2 and act 3 (act 1 appears to be done). The writer gave a few examples of what they've been changing, and it sounds interesting.

Should be worth the wait.

Aargh, got into a long talk after a meeting and didn't get back until the sale ended.

I already owned The Longest Journey on CDs (yes I said CDs), but that price was so good I had to bite on the TLJ/Dreamfall pack. Awesome game.

As another player said, you can let it more autoplay on most battles, and micro on harder ones.

Part of the game design is to allow for you setting up scripted plans for each character to do automatically (like 'if a group member falls below 25% health, heal them).

One of the skill options is to be able to script more; and it's not hard, it's not a language, it's a menu where you click the actions.

Ohhhh I see. I didn't realize that is what the other poster meant. So you can define what the players do individually by defining scenarios that kick off certain actions? That sounds a lot better if so. That actually sounds good.

Too bad I let the sale pass. I'm still interested though, as I'm sure it will go on sale again, even if not until the holiday sale.

Keep an eye on Amazon. I'm sure we'll see it there on sale. Two weeks ago they had Dragon Age everything (DA:O, DA2, Awakening, DLCs) for $9.99.

Dragon Age Origins DLC

The reason you don't see it on Steam is because you buy it through the Bioware store when you launch DAO. The Bioware store has never to my knowledge had a sale on DLC. Basically, if you bought DAO and didn't get the Ultimate Edition it is still cheaper and worth just rebuying it and getting the Ultimate Edition. Some of the DLC is meh, but there is a few pieces that are solid and worth it as well as the expansion pack. Thinking of it like this, the expansion back Awakening is $5 on its own, so for $2.49 more you get all the DLC.

While I was typing that I just remembered that it is no longer a flash sale lol

Same here.

At least you didn't say floppies. (I still have plenty of those).

Couldn't help myself and grabbed The Longest Journey/Dreamfall. I've been somewhat good at holding out. Relatively minimum damage so far:
Back To The Future
L.A. Noir
Just Cause 2
The Longest Journey/Dreamfall

Has anyone had problems having Borderlands achievements activate? I haven't has a single one activate. This seemed to be a problem in 2012 but no something common lately at least looking at their forums. I had to give the .exe admin rights to run it in the first place, otherwise haven't done anything weird with the game.

I've been tempted to pick up LA Noire but have heard horrible things about the PC port and have been holding off to snag a cheap Xbox version. $5 almost makes me want to put up with the <reported> downfalls.

What's the deal with the Longest Journey? Don't know anything about it.

Voted for Shogun in the next group; been wanting that one for a while.

I never had any issues with it on PC.

Look at both the CD & download versions - both get 2.5 stars. If you read through them, most have issues getting the game to even work, along with other minor complaints. Just makes me feel like it is a gamble.

For the record, I never had any issues with the PC version either.

I actually recall a forum member who had issues running the Amazon version, but then when he re-purchased the game from Steam, he could play it just fine... if that means anything to you.

My kid has bought ME1, ME2, and DA:O through Amazon. He couldn't get any of them to work using their downloader.

He took the keys and logged them in Origin and downloaded the games that way - no problem.

I don't think Amazon has their sh*t together when it comes to delivering games to purchasers.....but their good at selling games cheap and giving you keys.

Ahh I didn't realize that Dead Island has DLC. I didn't buy that during its last sale, so I'll vote for that.

Now is a good chance to get The Witcher 2 for only $16. One of the best RPGs ever. :)
