I loved Arkham Asylum, so I can't wait to play it. Bought AC (skipped the bundle) on the app then got the old lady to turn my PC on at home so it will download while I finish work. :awe:

Tempted to get Metro 2033 too at that price. :hmm:

KT
I thought everybody had Metro 2033 by now.

You operate both cargo and passenger trains, adhere to timetables, control and maintain speed, adapt to different weather conditions, avoid wheelslip, etc, etc. There's different scenarios you can do which range from Easy to Hard, and can be anywhere from 20 minutes to 4 hours long in real time.

The learning curve really isn't that big. Most of the challenge is getting used to the "feel" of different locomotives, how they accelerate and brake. That sort of thing. The physics are surprisingly good; when you're sitting in the cab and going around a curve, you can actually feel the train tilting every-so-slightly and bumping along the track.

It can be a very relaxing game (as long as you pick an easy scenario). There's something very calming about sitting in the drivers seat of a passenger train, hearing the engine roar beneath you, and watching the rainy European countryside as it rolls by.
Damn you! I had almost made it an entire 2 days without buying anything. 😛

Dungeon Defenders is on Flash Sale atm. Still two hours. It's as cheap as it's ever been with every single DLC available.

Bunch of players are upset, a month ago the community rep told them the new DLC 'won't be discounted any time soon'; days ago the DLC was on sale but not the four new DLC.

Now, right after a lot of people spent $16 for the four DLC, a package with all four plus two more DLC is just $3.24. The community manager 'aplogized for a miscommunication'.

I'm thinking of getting that game too. Is Metro 2033 or Borderlands better?

They both appear to be the same type of game.

Is Metro 2033 strictly an FPS or does it incorporate some elements of an RPG?

Metro and Borderlands are so totally different. Metro is a linear/cinematic FPS (very good game imo). Borderlands is a openish world sorta type of FPS where you try and get better gear while leveling up (awesome game too).

And Borderlands has fantastic multiplayer coop. In fact I'm playing through again with a friend who's never played right now (on X360).

The Lost Eternia thing has been on sale before. Pretty sure that I didn't pay full price for it, but I purchased it before all were released.

Although, I don't even like the game anyway. I just can't stand the controls with a mouse + keyboard.

EDIT:

I looked up past e-mails from Steam, and I got this on 12/28/11:

Dungeon Defenders Lost Eternia Shards Complete DLC
9.75 USD

Steam says Batman AC isn't available in my region D: missed out on that goodness twice now!

Atleast I'm only 80$ in thus far having resisted some of the more expensive recent releases.
