Right, you get all five episodes. Two of them have been released so far. You'll get the other three as they come out.

I actually have to make a special recommendation for this one, because it's so good. That's like $3 an episode. (Each episode is about two hours long.)

So it's basically your standard 10 hour game released in segments. I was thinking about this one, but that's $15 for a game that's only 2/5 released.

I can wait until next year when the entire game is out and everyone will know if the rest of it is good or not. Don't get me wrong, $15 is a good deal, but I'd rather wait until I can play it all at once and know that it's actually worth purchasing and playing. I have enough to tide me over until then ;)

Over the past couple of days I'm in for

From Steam:
Orcs Must Die + Artifacts of Power and Lost Adventures
Saints Row: The Third - Season Pass DLC Pack
Hitman: Blood Money
Saints Row: The Third
L.A. Noire
Renegade Ops
Left 4 Dead Bundle
Tropico 3
Tropico 4
Payday: The Heist Retail

2K Mega Pack from Amazon:
Borderlands GOTY
Mafia II
Civ V GOTY (WW)
Civilization IV Complete Edition
Bioshock
Bioshock 2
The Stronghold Collection
CivCity: Rome
Duke Nukem Forever Complete Pack

I thinking of grabbing THQ Action Pack @ $15 for Metro 2033 unless it ends up at 75% off on Steam.

In the past couple of days I've more than doubled my Steam inventory.

Whats the verdict on Orcs Must Die's DLCs ?
I know its only a couple of bucks but during Steam Sale its almost the price of a full blown game :)

The artifacts of power are definitely nice, especially the acid bomb things; I find them VERY useful. I can't comment on the extended adventure (whatever it's called), but I imagine more OMD! would be a good thing :) I have both DLC's.

It's like another $1.25 or something? I'd go for it.

I'm not too high since I already owned a few of the good games. I spent about $60 today though!

I agree with the other poster, the acid bombs are really handy. You can toss them before you unleash the orcs, let your mana recharge and then detonate them when needed. They don't last on the field forever, but they do for awhile.

Quick question with steam downloading/installing games.

Usually I run around 1.9 Mb/s d/l speed.

But friday and today it seems that the d/l speed is bouncing around between 700 kb/s and 0 kb/s and all numbers inbetween.

Why is that happening?

Honestly, $0. I haven't seen anything worth buying (at the prices listed). There were a few things that tempted me, like the Tribes Starter Pack - but with the hackers/cheaters and the overpoweredness that is autos in the game, that $4.99 would have been wasted (I haven't logged in to play in probably a month now).

Skyrim almost had me, but I couldn't justify $30 when I already have the Xbox version. It's the only title I've really been waiting for, but not at that price.

Waiting for a price on Star Ruler now, and we'll see what happens.

Let's see:

I got Max Payne 3 for $30
Alan wake pack for $20
Arkham City for $11
Darkness 2 for $12

$73. Thats actually a good bit higher than I want to be this early in the sale. Everything I got was stuff I've been wanting for a while though.

Server load probably. Everyone is downloading their games from the sale at the same time.

Terraria - $2.50
The Binding of Isaac with extras - $2.25
Trine 2 - $3.75
Batman: AC and all DLC - ~$22

I'm good for now. Not sure if I'll be picking up anything else, unless it's much cheaper than expected. Actually, I think I'll pick up Bastion when it goes on sale.

I am actually at $160. Though this is my first time at a steam sale as I am only been part of steam for a few months...

Yeah, the first few are always the roughest :D
My collection is up to like 500 games now so a lot of what is daily/flash deals I already own lol

MW3 was a daily deal the first day. It wont go cheaper then that in this sale. Activision hardly knocks the price down on the CoD series.

That's pretty much what I'm doing too. Unless there's a game that I really want to play RIGHT NOW, there's no point in spending over $5 on it when it will eventually drop in price even more.

Thanks for the reinforcement, I was about to pick up SS:BFE. But, the thing will probably have a price drop before Christmas and then be on sale.

So far I picked up:

Crusader Kings II
Half Life, Half Life 2, HL2-1, HL2-2
Legend of Grimrock
Might and MAgic Heroes 6
Portal 2
SpaceChem
Toy Soldiers
Bioshock 2
Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition

PvZ
QUBE
Railroad Tycoon 2: Platinum
Sonic Generations

All games I researched when they went on sale and figured I would like them.

Only reason my wallet still lives so far is your golden rule.

Good haul so far, I picked up QUBE myself and put an hour into earlier today, I like it :D

I'm glad you followed the golden rule, it is the first thing in the OP for a reason :)

> Saint's Row The Third Franchise Pack $24.99 76% off includes below
> Saint's Row The Third $12.49 75% off
> Saint's Row The Third DLC $1.33-$13.39 33% off

I picked up SR3 a few weeks ago and have played about 20 hours.

If you didn't get the Season Pass DLC I recommend that -- you get a nice "Night Blayde" car and bike plus (more important) some good missions. The 3-part sci-fi movie sequence was fun. You also get some extra gang members based on the missions (for the movie: generic space vixens in your crib, the actress in the movie as a homie to summon via cell phone).

For anyone who hasn't bought it yet, the franchise pack is probably the right choice. I paid that for just SR3 + season pass but you get the extra (less useful) DLC tossed in "free".

Thanks for the heads up. I get SO confused when Steam lists 50 options for a game. Ok, so you are saying get the Season Pass DLC but nothing else? I just bought the game, not the Franchise Pack or any DLC. I don't want to pay $21.57 for all the DLC listed since I just paid $12.49 for the game.

One other Saints Row 3 DLC that imo is pure gold and worth the $0.49 is the Shark Attack one. You shoot chum at people and a shark busts through the ground and eats them, pure awesomeness.

Toy Soldiers - 2.49
From Dust- 3.74
Portal 2 - 4.99
Civ V GOTY - 12.49

All in all around $24. I picked up the DA:O Ultimate Edition/Dragon Age II deal for 9.99 from Amazon a couple weeks ago as well, so I think I'm probably done unless there's a sub $10 Sims 3 (yeah yeah) or GTA IV Complete.

It's been hard passing on a few of the deals, but I don't have the time to really play what I've already got.

... and for those of us that own the game, but not the DLC, you can be glad that unlike the Community's Choice sale, the DLC is on sale now. ;) It's about $15 for everything if you do the season pass and remove the 3 content DLCs + Nyte Blade pack (since they're included). I already have the FUN pack as it was included with the preorder.

Sorry this is really confusing. Get the Season Pass plus which ones? If I remove everything that says DLC in the title, except the Season Pass, that only knocks it down to about $20.

If there is a Flash sale for Skyrim it will be for the same price it currently is as its daily deal price.
