The Si is a shitty wannabe sports car... 😀

It's actually right at home on a track.. I'd say its a great little sports car for the money.
There is a Youtube video where they pit an 8th gen Civic Type-R against all the other older Type-R's and even a 350Z and NSX and the Civic placed 2nd behind the NSX around Tskuba (sp?) circuit. That is beyond admirable for an NA 2L.

would love to see that link.

although the type R did have 220hp to the US model's 197. i believe it is lighter as well.

I think it's a major improvement over the last gen. Especially with the dash and the rest of the interior.

New rear end on some models looks like it came off some newer Mercedes/BMW cars I've seen. (Hideous)

This car does not seem like a small car that they used to be anymore. 2006+ gen has made them seem huge. They're futuristic looking, but I don't car for the look.

Also, how's the MPG? These cars just keep increasing in HP from what I've seen. Baseline for 2012 seems to be 140hp. That's 13 more than the 2000 Honda Civic EX(I think the DX came with like 97HP?). The gas mileage says 28/39/32 (city/high/combine). Pretty interesting they can get that big of a difference between city and highway. I guess if I drove this car on long trips via highway everyday then it would be nice... Too bad almost all my driving is trips in a city.

Interior is still hideous and looks cheap as shit.

28 in the city isn't bad, you know. My car is pretty old ('96) and I'm pretty excited to get 28 combined. Then again, I don't drive much anymore either.

I'm excited to see over 20mpg(never happens) in my 2000 Honda Civic EX now. 3.5 mile trips in a city do that.
