It's New Year's Eve and what better way to bring in 2012 than with a Doomsday clock.

Armageddon is suppose to happen on Dec 21, 2012.
I dont believe in such nonsense, but i do believe there are people out there who do.

For those crazies I have:
AR-15 with 2000 rounds
9mm with 500 rounds Hollow Points

If hysteria gets bad as the time gets closer, i'll probably get a Lvl IIIA vest and upgrade to steel penetrators (green tips) for the AR-15.

The world will come to an end just like it has every other time people have predicted that it would end.

:hmm:

Its for certain that the republicans in congress think the end of the world is coming by their lack in forward thinking.

It's really a bummer people are not into history more and exactly for reasons like this. It's a tool to learn from the past and not make the same mistakes. Life works in cycles and this is what the Mayans believed.. and they were right.

In December of 2012 their calendar will end.. and start over from the beginning again, the Mayans never said that the world would end in 2012.. in fact almost everything they wrote was destroyed by the Spanish, what we get now is the leftovers pieced together and interpreted incorrectly.

Only those unencumbered by worldly possessions will be able to rise into the new dimension. Those with stuff will be left behind to fight off the zombies.

I'll take one for the team - I'll stay behind. Send me all your stuff.

edit: OMFG! The world ends tonight!!! I just looked, and it's the last day on the calendar!
(This is perhaps a better response to idiots who believe that doomsday thing.)

>I'm not one of those crazies
>might get penetrating bullets just in case
I find it amusing that people think all of a sudden people become feral just like that. And even if they did gun nuts seem to think they can hold off and angry mob armed with firebombs, their own guns and nothing to lose.

Yeah, but I'm a pretty good shooter and will reduce that angry mob to a more manageable crowd for my katana before I run out of bullets.

Well, people become feral for far less reasons so one would assume they would riot at least riot. Just think what would happen if all those "football (aka soccer)" fans find out their game is cancelled because the world is ending.

I'm not one to believe in this mumbo-jumbo, but what's up with other ancient civilizations predicting something major will happen in 2012?

Alright, I'll try to make this thread a bit more interesting.

Do I think the world is going to end, no. The chances are so miniscule it's barely worth considering....

That said, this end of the world prediction holds SOOOOOOOO much more weight than any of the others before it, it is slightly intriguing. There are actual reasons behind this prediction. There are unexplained things that just make you go "hmmm". Many coincidences.... or not, that definitely add a fun little twist to this prediction.

If an end of the world prediction were ever going to be correct, this is probably the most likely we've ever had.

That said... I highly doubt anyone will predict the end of the world.

We're all going to die sooner or later. I don't know what the big fuss is about.

If the forecast is correct, then it's been nice knowing y'all. If the forecast is wrong, then neff more at work.

i dont think anythings gonna happen....

however there is some strange stuff going on that seems to be spoken of in the book of revelations the violence in the middle east,it speaks of the stench of death on everyones hands and bodies strewn in the streets....syria...it speaks of new babylon and its fall, which leads to a one world currency and one world government...us dollar...then it speaks of a massive migration to the holy land...check that out...all the jews are going "home".... ill think somethings going up if the most outrageous of the signs shows its face.....in revelations it says a million men will march on israel to persecute the jews and the ground will open up and they'll be destroyed, then from the aftermath theantichrist will come to power...supposed to be extremelu intelligent, charismatic, and will unify the people...and seem like great guy...like a savior...and then he'll want to be treated as a diety...many will fall for his tricks and take his mark (who knows what this means)

in another part of the bible (also the quaran) it is said the incarnation of the great one as a man would return in 2000 years.....

i am a theist, however i dont identify with any one religion...just observations ive made... i know u can basically apply those things to other times in history...napolean,hitler,etc....

so ueah..ill think its all over when the arab countries march on isreal....which really isnt so far fetched all it would take was us not backing them...at the least it would cause some nukes to fly...isreal doesnt care about anyone but themselves...they've said it time and time again

What they don't tell you is that they've found other calenders from the same culture with different end dates, some of the have passed and others are thousands of years into the future.
