This is going to be a great series if both teams keep playing like this. Bummed Chicago couldn't get the win tonight but its intense hockey either way.

Looking forward to another Bruins loss. Only for the amusement value of iRONic's response.

Damn Bruins... not helping you at all to enjoy the schadenfreude!!

The Hawks blew their load in the first period and played pretty lackluster in every period after that--I say that as a Hawks fan. I don't know if it was the Bruins distracting them or the Hawks being worn down from three straight OT games including the epic Game 1 of this series, but I hope they can get the ship righted in the next two games and win at least one game in Boston.

Well THAT went well.

Boston played to their strengths...and the Hawks played like they thought PP meant they were at a one man disadvantage instead of a one man advantage. Repeatedly. I can't believe how completely abysmal their PP is--it cost them any chance at getting some momentum going. While Boston should get credit for having good penalty killing, the Hawks' PP started off mediocre in the playoffs and seems to be getting worse as they face better and better opponents.

Still a ways to go but the Hawks can't play like this again or else it's over in 5.

Chara gooning it up, wow...what kind of penalties came from that situation?
Your profile says you're from Edmonton. Gotta be tough if you're a fan of the Oil...

But how embarrassing for you as a Canadian to be so damn stoopit about your own country's national sport.

Gooning it up...

Jarome Iginla will likely be on suicide watch if the Bruins win the Cup.
Heh heh...

So does he sign with that gutless bunch of underachievers this summer?

They gave Bylsma a two year extension after that sweep. Malkin got paid too...

Two points to make here;

1. No Hossa was huge.

B. The Bruins PP was absolute shit in 2011.

That Blackhawk lineup is stacked. If they can get a few bounces their confidence will get a boost and that should help.

Boston is well known for their ability to come back... almost as famous as they are for blowing leads.

This series is far from over.

To his credit, if you're from Boston I imagine your definition of "gooning it up" requires a crowbar and a machete 😀

Agreed.

Not sure if this is a typo but I'm guessing you meant the Hawks' PP has always been shit and they've overcome it in the past? If so, fair enough but it especially seems to be a liability here given the strength of Boston's defense. Last night was particularly painful considering the Hawks almost allowed a Boston breakaway goal while the Hawks were on a powerplay.

This series is far from over.

Agreed. I'm hoping Chicago plays like they're capable of, and not like the listless expansion team that showed up last night.

You cannot answer the question and would prefer to resort to personal attacks?

I see Chara and Bickell battling in front of the net.
Then i see Chara elbow Bickell to the ice (not hard to do with the size/weight advantage. Nothing wrong here. Bickell gets back up and more sticks to the chests from both of them.
Chara shoves Bickell to the ice and then jumps on him and starting pounding away on the downed Bickell.
Yes, good clean fighting right there, right American hockey pro?

I'm afraid your Boston-colored glasses have made you extremely blind if you think that's clean hockey.

Jumping on a downed guy and punching him in the head...great stuff.

I asked what arose from that in penalties as i wasn't watching at that point.

Can you answer that question or are you going to proceed with more personal attacks?

I don't think Pittsburgh will make Iginla an offer. They already got a shooter in Neal. Besides, Iginla looked awfully slow in many of the games. I don't think Iginla is happy about playing left wing and 3rd line. I think he goes to LA and reunites with coach Sutter.

In other news, all the Red Wings who are eligible to play in the AHL (less than 20 NHL games total) are butt raping the AHL playoffs. up 3 games to none in the final, with the next two games at home.

Dekeyser looks amazing, like holy shit amazing.

Crunch made a series out of it in the end, but congrats to GRG.
