You get used to life with a playoff game every other day, and then life seems so empty without it. How bad must it be for the players?

Kings lose 2-1 in regulation. Game went about as I expected, Quick is amazing, but not invincible...forwards need to regain last year's form and start finding the back of the net. If the steal the game tomorrow, I feel good about the series.

Also, wtf? Kings Hawks is on NBC sports but the boston pitt game is network television in primetime?

Nice game by the Hawks. It's awesome to be away from Detroit.

There's no doubt - if Detroit had won game 7 they'd be a real threat to win the cup. They were on such a roll. LA is a step slower than the Wings and got their butts handed to them today. I'm sure they'll come out guns blazing tomorrow.

Best part of the Penguins-Bruins game was when Crosby punched Chara's chest while the ref was between them, and Chara just leaned in to remind Crosby that he could snap him like a twig.

The Cooke game misconduct looked like a pretty typical boarding penalty IMO, should have just been 2 minutes.

That was awesome. I was hoping Chara would punch Cindy once... Just once...

I don't know what game you were watching. I thought the pens outplayed the boston pretty much the whole game. I feel good with that loss.

LOL wat?

I got home from work at starting watching from halfway through the second period.

There was no outplaying. Terrible defensive zone coverage by the Pens, too, wow.

If they play like this for the rest of the series, it's Boston's, easily.

Maybe they outplayed them for the first half of the game? They sure didn't the last half.

Chara would become a huge fan favorite instantly.

<Grapes voice> I cannot believe </Grapes voice> Crosby would start something with Chara. He is just asking for another concussion.

My favorite was when he pushed rask...seriously? The goalie?

Rask just laughed at him.

It was predictable that the Hawks would outskate the Kings, but who would have thought they would beat them up as well? It's pretty shocking.

I'm thinking some key Kings players must not be close to 100%.

is it me, or does the NBC camera's suck compared to the local fox affiliates which broadcast the regular season.
too much time spent zooming and refocusing.

That was brutal to watch. In fact, I left it after the 3rd goal. Hope the kings find their legs at home and manage to win one in chicago, but I ain't holding my breath at this point.

Oh man... the hate boiled over fast in this series. Excellent...

Sid the Kid - The best pro hockey player in the world. Playing on the biggest stage in the world. This is how you present yourself, like a whiny, spoiled child?! This is how you lead your team, like a petulant little brat?! Emotions do run high in the playoffs though. The stakes are high and shit happens.

This is the second year in a row you've melted down
. Sid the Kid - perfect nick name.

Pens out hit and had better quality scoring chances than the Bruins. They also had more give aways. Boston dominated at the faceoff dot and was flawless on their PK. Difference was Tuukka Rask. He played his best his game of the year.

Dunno if I would actually "feel good" with that loss as a fan but we all know Pittsburgh didn't play their best.
