yeah, it's more like spawn, run 3 feet, die to sniper fire, spawn, spend 10 minutes running to the action, die, repeat.

The 30 minutes I tried MW2 was exactly this. I just don't find this kind of Gameplay fun anymore, DM seems more Tactical and interesting by comparison. Perhaps it was just the Urban setting and smallish Map, but it sucked nads either way.

Nope; marked unavailalbe @ amazon.

Damn they sold of out keys quick haha

EDIT:

It is still there. Just click on PC Download than Standard and it shows right up to buy.

As for the Dark Angel pack Lupi, that is just DLC that is separate (it is like $7) that adds the DA's to the game for you, the only other way you can obtain them is buying the collector edition of retribution which was only sold at THQ's site.

Sort of on topic, sort of off. Anyone with a screenshot wanna friend me so I can get the "Scratch your ass" achievement for yesterday? Also, what's a good map to play on to get the TF 2 one?

I enjoyed Fable 2, but I should probably wait for another sale on 3. $25 is still a tad too much based on what I saw in Fable 2. That's really the only one I'm interested in today.

I played 3 and its meh. The menu system in particular is bad. You cant just press ESC and get out, you have to run around a room and find the exit.
Annoying bullshit like no other.

This was my first seasonal sale at Steam. I went a little crazy but I also think I did very well. I like lots of types of games and I have a desktop with a 560GTI in addition to a laptop with a Sandy Bridge gpu. I now have games for both systems and I'm anticipating not having to buy any games until the Winter sale and I'll also likely be able to be quite selective there.

Non-daily deals:
THQ Hit Collection 49.99 (~13 games of which I've only played 2 and have none in Steam)
Jagged Alliance/Disciples II Pack 6.24
Penny Arcade Combo Pack 1.80
Longest Journey/Dreamfall 6.24
Syberia Collection 7.49
Garry's Mod 2.49

Day 1
Lead and Gold 1.50
Borderlands GOTY 7.49
Recettear 5

Day 2
Braid 2.49
Heroes Pack 5
Star Wars KOTOR 2.49
Star Wars Battlefront II 2.49
Star Wars Empire at War 4.99
Just Cause2 and all DLC 7.22

Day 3
BF:BC2 Vietnam and other DLC 7.14 (I bought the game for 6.80 a couple of weeks ago thinking I got a steal. Haven't played it yet. My 2nd Steam pricing regret but it's only 3.95.)
Plants vs Zombies 3.39

Day 4
Defense Grid 2.49 (Also got extra maps with tickets.)
COD MW2 19.99 (Only game I paid close to 'retail' for, but I've been wanting to play it for a while. $20 was my selling price and I've already played and beaten the SP.)
Transformers: WfC 7.49
Tropico 3 Gold 4.99
Torchlight 2.99

Day 5
Trine 1.99

Day 6
Nothing. (Purchased Civ 5 in April at full price. It went on a daily deal a little while later and now this pricing. My first and third Steam pricing regret. Only solace is I had played for dozens of hours before even the daily deal.)

Day 7
Batman AA:GOTY 7.49
Kings Bounty Collection 6.99
GTA IV Complete 9.99

Day 8
TR: Anniversary 2.49
C&C RA3 + Uprising 8
COH Tales of Valor 4.99 (I had bought THQ Collection so I now have full COH pack)

Day 9
Mafia 2.49 (Will probably get Mafia 2 when a pack with DLC is available at Winter sale)
Fallout 3 GOTY 10.19
Empire and Napoleon TW GOTY 10.19

Day 10
Hitman BM 2.49
Sam and Max Collection 12.49

And lastly I used 3 of my tickets for Alien Breed 2

Total number of games: Over 50. Final total depends on how you count expansions.
Total cost: 241.19, or about 4.50 per game

There were a few other titles/packs that piqued my interest, but I figured I already have more games than I will play by the time Winter rolls around. Other positive thing is that now I know I'll always have a great game to start playing at anytime and I don't have to be waiting/searching for new deals everyday!

the dawn of war at amazon worked for me. just played 2 matches and got both tickets. best thing so far about the sale, played many games I hadn't gotten around to yet even if just for a bit for tickets, many of them seem interesting enough to go back for longer play throughs.

Hey, just a quick, BIG

THANK YOU

to Kaotik for the heads up on this, as well as to everyone who gave input on the good/bad/ugly as far as games to buy (or not). I really enjoyed it and got a bunch of games I wouldn't have w/o feedback from y'all.

I told myself I wasn't buying anything

so I got

AI War
Alpha Protocol
The Hitman franchise
The 2 Stalker games I didn't own yet
Sanctum
The X franchise (even though I own X2 and X3 I 've always wanted to try the first one and Terran conflict so I figured why not)
Zuma's revenge

And I left Kings Bounty in the cart. I'm still pissed about that.

You're welcome, glad you found it useful and got a bunch of games out of it :D

I'd also like to give a big thanks to KeithTalent for making the thread a sticky and allowing Steam deal threads in this forum as well (others would have thrown it in hot deals forum and left it at that)

That's part of the fun (or pain :'( ) of the sale, finding games you might not have considered before but hear good things about when it is on sale and you end up enjoying them as well.

I enjoy indie games now more than "AAA" mostly, lots of gems there.

Keep an eye out for a midweek, weekend, or xmas sale it's definitely worth it. Knowing now how much time I got out of KBL + AP, I could have paid $25-30 and not felt bad about it.

For me this time around $30 with tax:
Recettear
Dragon Age 1 complete (had Origins but none of the DLC or Awakening)
Torchlight
Defense Grid
Fallout NV DLC (already had the main game)

Edit: and I second the thanks to KaOTiK, I go weeks without using Steam sometimes when playing a non-Steam game or PS2,PS3,Xbox and could easily have missed this. Reading what everyone else was getting was fun too.
