Dead Island has Single(with an OKish Storynot great, but at least it exists) and Multiplayer, Left for Dead is basically just Multiplayer.
 
Thanks for the heads up. Don't have any steam friends so co-op is not an option i guess. So mp wise, l4d2 is better? Will keep that in mind.

Funny thing about today's fable deal is that last week i picked up new collectors editions of fable 3 and Alan wake for the 360 for around $10 each from the bargain bins..

I hope Skyrim will be put on sale. D2D had a 20% off entire orders sale yesterday and i figured I'd wait for the Steam sales. Better not disappoint.
 
Hmm, theres something new in my steam inventory so I click it and nothing appears, wtf? I didnt buy or get gifted anything...

yeah, i don't get it. do people just sit and refresh it not realizing it lasts for 24 hours?
nothing in the daily deal that I want, but am ordering Just Cause 2 for a friend as part of his xmas gift. He just got a PC that could run it and I know he'll like it.

This. I still can't even see what I won. I'm getting errors everywhere. And when I do manage to get into my inventory, evidently I have zero items.
 
Reading about everyone having issues w/ Steam servers, glad I won't be trying to buy anything for a few hours, hope it's settled down by then. 😀
 
Is the the mail icon in the upper right something new with the Steam client? I've never seen it before, but then I've never gotten any invites, gifts or items in my inventory. Still don't so I'm wondering why I'm seeing it now.
 
I'm at work so I can't tell, but how about the Steam website? Is it functional, or are both the client and website getting killed?

Steam website is slow, dont know about the client, at work right now.

Lots of timeouts, and server errors going on right now. I am trying to see what fallout games are on sale, and this is what I got.

Can anyone see what's in their inventory? Anyone at all?

I think this is the worst Steam has ever derped during a holiday sale. In the past it's only taken ~30 minutes or so for everything to get ironed out. Now it's been almost three hours and there are still major problems.
