What's the 'gift' they give you for clicking to start the deals? And the one they give you for checking inventory? I can't get steam to load the pages so far.
 
dang just dropped $168 on 2 of the Pack Deals

now will I ever have time to play any of these dozens of new games? lol

I got a 50% off a valve game but now every time I reload inventory it says I have nothing or it won't load at all.
 
Steam is getting pounded right now, probably have to wait a little before the dust settles and can play around with this new holiday gift thing they got going on

So far I have decided on HL2 Ep1 and 2 for $8, thinking of picking up Day of Defeat Source as well, but will wait for the traffic to clear a bit.

Seems like you can trade the gift or give it away. And FML because Portal 2 was the only Valve game I wanted but I already bought it at $7.50.

I wouldn't worry then. It always list the full download size even if you have source installed already. So it will probably be like half that once it actually starts downloading.
 
Good lord, Steam is shitting itself right now. I can't do anything without getting a 503 service error over and over.
 
Don't care if it goes cheaper. Picked up portal 2 today.

Any recommendations between dead island and left 4 dead?

Are you asking about Left 4 Dead or Left 4 Dead 2?

Do you enjoy single player or multiplayer games? L4D/L4D2 is best with friends, the random public game community is hit and miss. Out of a dozen games, you might find a good one.

L4D/L4D2 multiplayer is fast paced, its not the type of game you want to stand around and look at the flowers in. L4D/L4D2 multiplayer is also team based, if you try to Rambo your way through, you are not going to make it very far.
