Damn L.A. Noire is tempting here, but I think I can wait until it goes to ~$14.99.

Mother... Fallout Vegas DLCs all for $2.50? I paid the full $10... Ya, time/no waiting premium. Grrr....

Get both, theyre both amazing games! Fallout 3 is a bit better IMO because its bigger.

Only thing about fallout 3 is it needs GFWL to be installed as well, new vegas only uses steamworks. Fallout 3 on windows 7 worked fine for me, same for new vegas.
I have the original disc version of Fallout 3 which doesnt absolutely require GFWL, at least not on XP, at least, not if it isnt installed. But I think if you do install Fallout 3 after GFWL then it locks in and cries whenever you try to run it again.

What DLC is worth it for NV? I don't really want to get all of it, but a few are cheap enough that I might as well.

If you like New Vegas, you will want all the major DLC cuz it adds new areas. And the minor DLC adds items and recipes at the very beginning, with the potential for more items later on. Better to get it all in one big package considering the price.

Dang... LA Noire is tempting, but there's too many other games on sale for way cheaper. I'll wait it out.

Edit: Not too many games I'm interested in today... except for VVVVV, which is a great little game for only $1 and change.

I kinda hope people buy Red Orchestra 2. There are only about three or four populated servers right now, it died really quickly after release unfortunately. It needs a revival, because it's a good game!

How's Sniper: Ghost Warrior?

Sniper is ok. Its fairly fun but the AI isn't all that great.

Are the Operation Flashpoint games any good?

No. There was some strife between the developers of Operation Flashpoint, so they branched off into making Operation Flashpoint 2 and Armed Assault. OF2 sucks and tries to be a scripted, action game, but the engine isn't really built for it, so it is shit.

Armed Assault 2 is GREAT if you're a masochist (very hard game at times). I got all the DLC during previous sales, but the PMC one doesn't work properly half-way through.

Think I'll sit this sale out. I'm stuck on Skyrim, and I still plan on replaying Deux Ex: Human Link I got a few weeks back. I got some game with jumping and flying, a sandbox action game, and gave it 5 minutes. It was only $5, so meh, but still a waste.

Why is LA Noire 50% off this fast? It's good, right?

I have only watched a Playthrough of it, but it seemed more like an interactive Story than a game. There's some Driving, Shooting, and decision making, but it seemed mostly about the main Story. It's possible that the Playthrough I watched didn't play Side Missions, which would make my opinion rather limited, but it seemed to be a very On Rails type of game. The Story is pretty good though, so you might like it for that alone if that's your thing.

Sounds a bit like Mafia II? If so, I may need to go ahead and grab this. I love that kind of stuff.

This is exactly why I'm interested in it. I love games that are extremely story-oriented.

Also... I'm happy that I bought Orcs Must Die! yesterday. Awesome game for only $3. Thanks, Kaotik.

I heard that Fallout 3 is a pain to get working on Win 7. Since I have Win 7 should I just get Fallout New Vegas and forget Fallout 3?

I have had problems with neither, but only played FO3 for about 1 hour so far (free form KT--whoo! only because it was a disaster for him. 🙁)

Anyway, I played New Vegas most of the way through...I might finish it some day, but who knows. 70 or so hours in, still haven't finished it, and it's amazing. Don't really need FO3 for New Vegas, if you ask me.

NV sounds like a decent deal but I didn't like FO3 that much so I'm skipping for now. I'm stuck in Portal 2 🙁 I wanted to finish it today.

Took and hour off and figured it out.

Think I may have to jump on Fallout: New Vegas.

Any of the DLCs good enough to warrant a purchase?

If you don't feel like paying for all of them, two of them are VERY good:

- Old World Blues
- Lonesome Road

The weapons pack for $2 or so is good if you get that early.
