2011 Sonata recall

Just announced in the last couple days. Anyone know how this might affect us picking up a Sonata Monday after work. We decided to lease one, but the financing deal ends 9/30, and it is unlikely that the dealer would have the recall taken care of, and I don't think it makes any sense for us to take delivery without the fix being done. My brother told me that Honda issues a stop sale order, but I couldn't find anything on Hyundai's website that addresses that for the Sonata. Thanks in advance.

Haven't seen anything about this yet. My parents are at the dealer as I type this.

According to Consumer Reports, this is a voluntary self recall regarding front door latch mechanism where if you hold the "lock" button while keeping the door handle latch open, it could prevent the door from closing properly.

This is also something that happened a while ago and the stop sale ended already.

It seems fairly limited, I have not had any problems with mine in the little under 5000 miles I have put on it so far.
I'll wait for the recall letter and go get my oil change done at the same time as having it checked.

The rental Sonata I had was quite nice I might add. The glowing man hvac control was kinda cheezy but other than that I liked it.

On a related note, isn't there a steering column recall as well? Should probably make sure you're not affected that by either.

Picked the car up after work. Very nice ride. We didn't need all the options, it's got everything we need.

Dealership said they took care of the recall, including the software. Hopefully, we'll still be happy with it 3 years from now.
