Especially cuz starcraft 2 will suck and they need to fix that piece of shit performance which would take god knows how long. 🙁🙁🙁🙁

Unless something catastrophic happens (like when WoW was released) the resource pools for the two games will remain completely seperate.

WAY too many MMOs in there. Especially with Cataclysm coming soon and the fact the MMO market is already oversaturated. I can see the ones with already established IP that already have a good fanbase like the WH40k and star wars mmos turn out ok but the "no name" games better be amazing or they won't make it.

While the MMO market is oversaturated with mediocre games. There's room for actual quality MMOs to be released. Only WoW, Eve, and maybe LotR are decent at the moment. Granted, all the ones coming out are as history would dictate likely going to be mediocre with the vast majority of other MMOs, but people can hope : p

I'm still waiting for someone to give us the storyline/plot of a single player RPG in an MMO. How many times have you played though something like Oblivion or Fallout 3 and thought to yourself that those games would make awesome MMOs?

Isn't that what The Old Republic is suppose to be?

Cool beans to see that Adrian Werner has got his own site. When I was a mod over at Gamespot he would do these lists for us to sticky, the only problem is that they were so massive they would bug out at various points.

Thanks for the link Gully!

Anyone try out that game from 2010 list, Virtual City? Looks like a somewhat interesting city builder...

we still have some ways to go in 2010 with SC II and Civ V just to name a couple.
we'll have plenty on our hands till Xmas.

The Vids for a lot of the games coming out

Seems like a bunch have been sneaking in late under the radar too.
Games like alien swarm, Blacklight tango down, martial empires and bloodline champions

Words cannot describe how badly I want to play Diablo 3 as soon as possible.

Is anyone else with me that Blizzard needs to stop focusing on WoW and just finish Diablo 3 for next summer? I mean, it isn't like Diablo 3 won't sell out and make them a fortune. Diablo 3 will probably make them more money than WoW in its sad, aged state.

10 million subscribers times $15 per *month* just to use it, and it's not 'old' IMO🙂

I'm looking forward to Diablo III, too.

Even if Blizzard was completely unhelpful in giving me any contact info for the Deckard Cain actor so I could hire him to say a line for my mage🙂

you forgot the the price of each expansion pack times 3. WoW makes insane amounts of money. Blizzard can be a bank by now.

WoW - as in: "WOW look at the endless river of money Blizzard has found!"

I'm not a huge futuristic RPG fan; I like the medieval ones much better. There's not really a game in the medieval MMORPG category that has a really good plot.

Star Wars: The Old Republic isn't futuristic... it takes place thousands of years before "a long time ago" ;-)

WoW does not have 10 million subs anymore, WoW china accounted for like 6 million of them and it hasn't been running for like a year if not more + they used a totally different pricing system

Bioware claims that TOR will be like several KOTOR3 games in one. I, for one, despite all the hype, do not believe this. How can you have a good single player plot, with a resolution at the end, when there are thousands of people running around, each with their own character?? And TOR is set in a different time, so it cannot resolve the KOTOR franchise storyline except in a tangential way.
I dont understand why they never made KOTOR 3. Since KOTOR 2 they have made 2 Mass Effect games, Dragon Age and its expansions, and ME3 and DA2 are supposed to be in the works. There was even that lame Force Unleashed (and another one coming) made by someone else.
There seemed to be such a market for KOTOR 3, I am sure they would have sold a lot of copies if they had made the game. My guess is that they did not want to take away interest from TOR. I am very disappointed in Bioware, Lucas Arts, EA, or whoever in the background decided to turn the KOTOR franchise into an MMO.

I really never have. When I'm playing RPGs, I don't want other people mucking up my story. Also, if they put too much effort seperating everyone out into their own stories it ruins the whole feel of an MMO. MMOs usually have relatively weak/vague/loosely connected stories for a reason.

You can shit on Blizzard for quite a few things, putting out poorly optimized games isn't one of them. Of all the major producers Blizzard probably does the absolute best job out there of making their games accessible to the largest amount of people possible.

A few of these games look interesting, I also have such a huge backlog though I doubt I'll buy any of them on release haha.

Though not official, I bet Battlefield 3 will come out next year. I hope so!

It damn well better. BC2 is a LOT of fun, don't get me wrong, but it's not classic PC battlefield. The vehicle combat is just sad. The helos handle like flying refrigerators, and are pretty much useless as anything other than transport. I think the maps are actually about the right size, but I'd really like to see a more PC-centric game than what BC2 came across as.
