2011 PC releases

WAY too many MMOs in there. Especially with Cataclysm coming soon and the fact the MMO market is already oversaturated. I can see the ones with already established IP that already have a good fanbase like the WH40k and star wars mmos turn out ok but the "no name" games better be amazing or they won't make it.
 
Ugh, I just started Bioshock 2.

And already have a backlog of 76 games to finish. 🙁

The only games on that list that interest me is Max Payne 3 and RAGE.

American McGee’s Alice II?! The first game was pure awesomeness. Hopefully this one lives up to its predecessor.
 
A lot of names are piquing my interest. Alice II, Shogun II, Portal II, 40K, Mechwarrior, and Brink. I doubt I'll end up playing half of them though, especially 40k (as cool as a 40k mmo sounds).
 
They must be quite optimistic to believe that Diablo III will make it anywhere in 2011, more likely that it will be released in summer or holidays of 2012, if not later.

Also for those talking about Diablo 3, it says "2011 and beyond". Blizz have already said D3 will be 2012 IIRC.

Words cannot describe how badly I want to play Diablo 3 as soon as possible.

Is anyone else with me that Blizzard needs to stop focusing on WoW and just finish Diablo 3 for next summer? I mean, it isn't like Diablo 3 won't sell out and make them a fortune. Diablo 3 will probably make them more money than WoW in its sad, aged state.

POS performance? I have a shit ass laptop and played the beta alright with medium graphics and a slightly lower resolution. Maybe it really fucks up at the higher graphics settings, but from what I've seen it scales pretty well.

tp4tissue complains about the slowdown the game has when there are 100+ units on the screen playing on ultra settings on a 30 inch monitor @2560 x 1600

its not an FPS issue http://www.legionhardware.com/articles_pages/starcraft_ii_wings_of_liberty_beta_performance,4.html its a CPU issue and every single RTS has the same issue late in games where there are hundreds if not thousands of units that the AI has to think for. Civ was horrible at this.

its also a non issue

Mechwarrior = pure awesome. Everything else? Meh.

Northing else really tickling my fancy for the next 12 months other than Fallout: New Vegas. Maybe Starcraft II but I've kind of gone off RTS games. Maybe Test Drive Unlimited 2 though it's going up against Gran Turismo 5. Crapload of MMOs. I guess that's where the money is these days.
